THE PROPHECY OF THE LAMB OF GOD
Genesis 22:7-8 - And Isaac spoke unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the LAMB for a burnt offering?And Abraham said, My son, GOD WILL PROVIDE HIMSELF A LAMB for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
THE PICTURE OF THE LAMB OF GOD
Exodus 12:3-5, 21 - Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a LAMB, according to the house of their fathers, a LAMB for an house: and if the household be too little for the LAMB, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the LAMB. Your LAMB shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: - - - Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a LAMB according to your families, and kill THE PASSOVER.
Isaiah 53:6-7 - All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a LAMB to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.
THE PERSON WHO IS THE LAMB OF GOD
John 1:29, 36 - The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold THE LAMB OF GOD, Who takes away the sin of the world. - - - And looking upon Jesus as He walked, he said, Behold THE LAMB OF GOD!
Acts 8:32-35 - The place of the Scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a LAMB dumb before His shearer, so opened He not His mouth: in His humiliation His judgment was taken away: and who shall declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of Whom speaks the prophet this? Of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same Scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
1 Peter 1:18-21 - Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a LAMB without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Revelation 5:6, 8, 12-13 - And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a LAMB as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. - - - And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the LAMB, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints. - - - Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the LAMB Who was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sits upon the throne, and unto the LAMB forever and ever.
Revelation 6:1, 16 - And I saw when the LAMB opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. - - - And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the LAMB.
Revelation 7:9-10, 14, 17 - After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the LAMB, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God Who sits upon the throne, and unto the LAMB. - - - And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the LAMB. - - - For the LAMB Who is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 12:10-11 - And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the LAMB, and by the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 13:7-8 - And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the LAMB slain from the foundation of the world.
Revelation 17:12-14 - And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the LAMB, and the LAMB shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Revelation 19:7-9 - Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the LAMB is come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the LAMB. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Revelation 21:9, 14, 22-23, 27 - And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the LAMB'S wife. - - - And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the LAMB. - - - And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the LAMB are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the LAMB is the light thereof. - - - And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes a lie: but they which are written in the LAMB'S book of life.
Revelation 22:1-3 - And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the LAMB. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the LAMB shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him.
1 Corinthians 5:7 - ...CHRIST OUR PASSOVER IS SACRIFICED FOR US!
