JESUS CHRIST: FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION!

JESUS:  THE PROMISED SEED OF WOMAN

Genesis 3:15 - And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; (He) shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.
[Note:  This is the first piece of evidence that the Messiah would be miraculously born of a virgin:  women do not have "seed," men do!]

Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:18-25 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:  When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately.  But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for (the child) which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS:  for He shall save His people from their sins.  Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.  Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:  And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called His name JESUS.
[Note:  This last verse in important for two reasons:  first it tells us that Joseph and Mary did not consummate their marriage until after Jesus was born; and it also indicates that Mary did not remain a virgin for life!  The couple did have children after Jesus was born - see Mt. 12:46; Mk. 3:31; Lk. 8:19; Jn. 2:12; Acts 1:14; and Gen. 37:4 where "brethren" refers to brothers; also see Mk. 6:3 for their names, and that Jesus had half-sisters!]

JESUS:  THE PROMISED SEED OF ABRAHAM

Genesis 12:1-3 - Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:  and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  and I will bless him who  blesses thee, and curse him who curses thee:  and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.  [Note:  "in thee" refers to Abraham's seed - his descendant - see Gen. 12:7!]

Galatians 3:16 - Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

JESUS:  THE PROMISED SEED OF DAVID

John 7:42 - Hath not the Scripture said, That Christ (shall come) of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

2 Timothy 2:8 - Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my Gospel....

JESUS WAS THE FULFILLMENT OF ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Matthew 1:1, 16 - The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham. - - - And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom (Mary) was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Mark 1:1 - The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God!

Luke 3:23 - And Jesus Himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, who was the son of Heli....

JESUS, THE VIRGIN BORN SON OF GOD, AS THE SAVIOR, DIED FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD!  HE WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD TO BE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!  DO NOT PUT OFF RECEIVING GOD'S FREE GIFT OF SALVATION, BECAUSE JESUS IS DUE TO RETURN FOR HIS CHURCH AT ANY MOMENT!
