THE END-TIME SEQUENCE OF EVENTS!

THE END-TIME SEQUENCE OF EVENTS!

Revelation 1:19 - Write the things which you have seen (past), and the things which are (present), and the things which shall be hereafter (future)….

Note: Those events listed in the Book of Revelation, which take place on earth, are sequential.  They are often connected by the words "and," "then," and "after."  The events that occur in heaven are not governed by time, and appear throughout Revelation, often without regard to the events happening on our planet.  Perfect examples are found in comparing Revelation 14:18 with 18:2; and comparing Revelation 11:15 with 20:7-9

THE THINGS JOHN HAD ALREADY SEEN!

Revelation 1:20The mystery of the seven stars which you saw (past) in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks (Revelation 1:10-18):  the seven stars are (present) the angels of the seven churches:  and the seven candlesticks which thou saw (past) are (present) the seven churches.

THE THINGS JOHN SAW ON EARTH; THE CHURCH AGE!

Revelation 2:1, 8, 12, 18; 3:1, 7, 14Unto the angel of the church of _______ write (present)….

Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22He that has an ear, let him hear (present) what the Spirit saith unto the churches....

Note:  All the letters were written during John's life, and the tense of the Spirit's warning to the churches (saith) is present tense.  The church is not mentioned between Revelation 3:22 and the coming of the New Heaven and New Earth in Revelation 21:1.  Many students of Bible prophecy see John's call to "come up hither" as being a picture of the Rapture of the Church, the event that ends the Church Age (see:  John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; etc.).

THE THINGS REVEALED TO JOHN OF THE FUTURE!

Revelation 4:1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me (present); which said, Come up hither (present), and I will show thee things which must be hereafter (future).

A PICTURE OF REVELATION 6 - 19 FROM THE GOSPEL OF LUKE!

Luke 21:8-28 - And Jesus said, Take heed that ye be not deceived:  for many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ (Jews still looking for their Messiah); and the time draweth near:  go ye not therefore after them.  But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions (they only hear of them; the first half of the seven-year Tribulation Israel is protected by Antichrist), be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.  Then said He unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:  and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.  But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues (those who turn to faith following the Rapture of the Church will be persecuted by Jews), and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake.  And it shall turn to you for a testimony.  Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:  for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.  And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.  And ye shall be hated of all men (all includes Israel) for My name's sake.  But there shall not an hair of your head perish.  In your patience possess ye your souls.  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation (the abomination of desolation (Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15; Mark 13:14; Revelation 13:5-6; etc.) thereof is nigh.  Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.  For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.  But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days!  For there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people (Israel).  And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations:  and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:  for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Note:  This period, known as the Tribulation, Daniel's Seventieth Week, and the Time of Jacob's Trouble, described the seven years of God pouring out His wrath upon Israel and the world (His motivation is to bring mankind to repentance).  Matthew 24 and Mark 13 describe the same time period.  Noted in blue above, are the clues to this period being Israel's Tribulation.

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST (REVELATION 19)!

THE MILLENNIUM KINGDOM AND FINAL JUDGMENT (REVELATION 20)!

THE NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH (REVELATION 21-22)!

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!
YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY DEPENDS UPON IT!
