IN THE BEGINNING....

BEGINNING WITH INNOCENT MAN

Genesis 1:26-28 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.  So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish (Hebrew male' - context:  God's command to fill) the earth....

BEGINNING AGAIN WITH UNWORTHY MAN

Genesis 6:8; 9:1But Noah found grace (unmerited favor) in the eyes of the LORD . . . . And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish (Hebrew male' - context:  God's command to refill) the earth.

BEGINNING A NATION WITH A LIAR

Genesis 12:1-3, 18-20Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee:  and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curse thee:  and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. . . . And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou has done unto me?  Why did thou not tell me that she was thy wife?  Why said thou, She is my sister?  So I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.  And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him:  and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

BEGINNING A NEW RELIGION WITH A MURDERER

Exodus 2:11-12; 19:1-6 - And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens:  and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.  And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. . . . In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.  For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.  And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto Myself.  Now therefore, if ye will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people:  for all the earth is Mine:  and ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.  These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

BEGINNING A FAMILY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

John 1:11-14; 3:5-7 - He (Jesus) came unto His own (people; Israel), and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born (again), not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. . . . Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (physical birth) and of the Spirit (spiritual birth), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Romans 8:14-17 - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons (children) of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God....

1 John 3:1-2Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons (children) of God:  therefore the world knows us not, because it knew Him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons (children) of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He (Jesus) shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
