ALL SIN HAS THE SAME ROOT CAUSE:
MAN'S FAILURE TO BELIEVE GOD!
Genesis 2:15-17 - And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden, you may freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof, you shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:6 - And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Genesis 5:5 - And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned....
1 Timothy 2:14 - And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Titus 1:2 - In hope of eternal life, which God, Who cannot lie, promised before the world began....
Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8 - For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. . . . But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
TO UNDERSTAND GOD'S WORD, ONE NEEDS
TO COMPARE SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE!
When Adam saw that Eve did not die, he no longer believed God, and he ate. Did God lie? Never! God cannot lie! Adam lived 930 years, which is less than 1000 years; and to God, Who exists outside of time, a day and a 1000 years are the same. Sin results from not believing God; not believing He is real; not believing He will hold man accountable for his behavior; and not believing in an afterlife spent in hell!
SALVATION, ON THE OTHER HAND,
RESULTS FROM BELIEVING GOD!
Genesis 15:6 - And he (Abraham) believed
Isaiah 43:10-11 - You are My witnesses, says the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I AM
John 3:15-16, 18, 36 - That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. . . . He that believes in Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God. . . . He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.
John 20:30-31 - And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing, you might have life through His name.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you....For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures....
Romans 10:9-10, 13 - That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. . . . For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
FAIL TO BELIEVE IN GOD > HELL!
BELIEVE IN GOD > HEAVEN!
CHOOSE QUICKLY - TIME IS SHORT!
