JOHN: EYE WITNESS FOR JESUS!

JOHN'S DESCRIPTION OF JESUS!

CREATOR!

John 1:1-3, 10-14 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. . . . He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.  He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

WORKER OF MIRACLES!

John 2:1-11 - And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:  and both Jesus was called, and His disciples, to the marriage.  And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said unto Him, They have no wine.  Jesus said unto her, Woman, what have I to do with you?  My hour is not yet come.  His mother said unto the servants, Whatsoever He says unto you, do it.  And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins (80 - 120 liters) apiece.  Jesus said unto them, Fill the water pots with water.  And they filled them up to the brim.  And He said unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast.  And they bare it.  When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not from where it came:  but the servants which drew the water knew; the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and said unto him, Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse:  but you have kept the good wine until now.  This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him.

THE SON OF GOD, SAVIOR OF BELIEVERS!

John 3:14-18 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up (crucified):  that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through (faith in) Him might be saved.  He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.

RESURRECTED LORD AND GOD!

John 20:26-29 - And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them:  then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  Then said He to Thomas, reach here your finger, and behold My hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into My side:  and be not faithless, but believing.  And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God.  Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed:  blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

JOHN HAS GIVEN US HIS WORD!

John 20:30-31; 21:25 - And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book:  but these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through His name. . . . And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.  Amen.
