THE BIBLE DESCRIBES THE LAST DAYS!

OLD TESTAMENT REFERENCES TO THE LAST DAYS

Genesis 49:1 - And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days[Note:  the rest of the chapter contains his prophecy concerning the twelve tribes of Israel.]

Isaiah 2:1-5 - The Word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.  And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths:  for out of Zion shall go forth the Law, and the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem.  And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people:  and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks:  nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

NEW TESTAMENT REFERENCES TO THE LAST DAYS

Acts 2:15-18For these are not drunken, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh:  and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:  and on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

2 Timothy 3:1-5This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent (without self control), fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away.

Hebrews 1:1-3God, who at sundry (various) times and in divers  manners (various ways) spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He has appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged (took upon Himself) our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

James 5:1-8Go now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.  Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.  Your gold and silver is cankered (is corroded); and the rust (corrosion) of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire.  You have heaped treasure together for the last days.  Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries:  and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth (Lord of the armies of Israel).  You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton (unsatisfied); you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.  You have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.  Behold, the husbandman (farmer) waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.  Be you also patient (like the farmer); establish your hearts:  for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh (draws near).

2 Peter 3:1-10This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:  that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:  knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming?  For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:  but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward (toward us), not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

TO GOD, THE LAST DAYS APPEARS TO BE ABOUT THREE THOUSAND YEARS.

THEY BEGAN WITH THE COMING OF JESUS (HEB. 1), AND THEY CONTINUE UNTIL CHRIST'S ONE THOUSAND YEAR REIGN ON EARTH IS COMPLETE (REV. 20).

WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS; JESUS IS COMING! ARE YOU READY?

DO YOU FEAR HIS RETURN, OR AS A BELIEVER, DO YOU LONG FOR IT?

EITHER WAY:  JESUS IS COMING AGAIN - AND SOON!
