MAN IS NOT SAVED BY OBEYING THE LAW;
HE OBEYS THE LAW BECAUSE HE IS SAVED!
In my own words as I understand God's Holy Word!
Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that no man is made right with God by the works of the Law, but by having faith in Jesus Christ; we have believed in Jesus Christ, and we have been made right with God because of our faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law: for by the works of the Law shall no flesh be made right with God.
Galatians 5:13-14 - For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only do not use your freedom to satisfy your flesh, but by love, freely serve one another. For ALL of the Law is fulfilled in one saying, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself.
THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS A LIFE OF OBEDIENCE!
Acts 5:27-29 - And when they had brought them out of the jail, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Didn't we command you that you should stop teaching in this name? And now look! You have filled Jerusalem with your teachings, and have blamed us for shedding this man's blood. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Romans 1:1-6 - Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart to proclaim the Gospel of God (which God had promised would happen by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures), concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who was born of the family of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Holy Spirit, by His resurrection from the dead: by Whom we have also received His grace and have been called to be apostles, serving Him in obedience to proclaim faith among all nations, for His name: among whom you are also the called by Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:16-17 - Do you not realize that to whom you yield yourselves as servants to obey, his servants you are; whether as a servant of sin that results in a wasted life, or as a faithful servant, obedient to God, which shows He has saved you? But thanks be to God, that you, who were once the servants of sin, have now, loving Him with your whole heart, obeyed Him Whose teaching delivered to you.
Romans 10:9-17 - If you will declare with your mouth your faith in the Lord Jesus, and truly believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes and is declared to be righteous; and with the mouth, he confesses his faith, and is saved. For the Scriptures say, Whosoever believes in Him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile: for the same Lord freely receives all who call upon Him! For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
But how shall they call upon Him in Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without someone telling them? And how shall they tell of Him unless they believe in Him? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who share the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But unfortunately, they have not all believed the Gospel. For Isaiah said, Lord, who has believed our report? So then faith comes by hearing and believing the Word of God.
Romans 16:24-27 - The grace (unmerited, unearned favor) of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Now to Him Who has the power to establish you according to the Gospel, which is the proclaiming of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, to be made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: to the one and only God, Who is infinitely wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.
THE BOTTOM LINE!
JESUS DIED TO PAY THE PENALTY FOR YOUR SINS!
THREE DAYS LATER, HIS FATHER RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD
TO RULE AND REIGN AS KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!
THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIM DELIGHT IN DOING HIS WILL!
