HOW DOES ONE BECOME LIKE CHRIST?

BECOMING LIKE JESUS CHRIST - BELIEVE THE GOSPEL!

Romans 1:16-17 - For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved....   For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures....

BECOMING LIKE JESUS CHRIST - BE BAPTIZED BY THE SPIRIT INTO CHRIST!

John 3:5-7 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto you, You must be born again.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13 - For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body:  so also is Christ.  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

BECOMING LIKE JESUS CHRIST - KNOW THAT HE IS WORKING ON YOU!

Romans 8:28-30 - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestine to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He did predestine, those He also called:  and whom He called, those He also justified:  and whom He justified, those He also glorified.
Philippians 1:6 - (I am) confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

BECOMING LIKE JESUS CHRIST - KNOW IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

Galatians 4:4-7 - ...when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law, to redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as His children.  And because you were to become His children, God sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, so that you can call Him, Abba, Father.  Wherefore you are no more servants, but are His children; and if His children, then heirs of God through Christ.
1 John 3:1-2 - Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God:  therefore the world does not know who we are, because it did not know Who He was.  Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

WHAT IS THE ONLY THING A CHRISTIAN DOES IN THIS ENTIRE PROCESS?

BELIEVE!  BELIEVE YOU ARE A SINNER AND NEED A SAVIOR!

BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD!

BELIEVE ALL THAT HAPPENS TO MAKE YOU LIKE CHRIST IS HIS WORK!

BE THANKFUL!       PRAISE HIM!       TELL OTHERS ABOUT HIM!
