PETER AND PAUL: TWO MESSENGERS WITH ONE MESSAGE!

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE GOSPEL MESSAGE
ACCORDING TO ROMANS ONE!

[16-17] For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes it; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Gentile).  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

THE GOSPEL AS PREACHED BY
THE APOSTLE PETER IN ACTS TWO!

[1] And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

[14] But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, You men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

[22-41] You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death:  because it was not possible that He should be held by it.  For David spoke concerning Him, I foresaw the Lord always before My face, for He is on My right hand, that I should not be moved:  therefore did My heart rejoice, and My tongue was glad; moreover also My flesh shall rest in hope:  because You will not leave My soul in hell, neither will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.  You have made known to Me the ways of life; You shall make Me full of joy with Your countenance.  Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day.  Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ to sit on His throne; he seeing this before spoke of the Resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in hell, neither did His flesh see corruption.  This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.  Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.  For David is not ascended into the heavens:  but he himself said, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.  Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, Whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for (because of) the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward (wicked) generation.  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:  and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

[46-47] And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

THE GOSPEL AS PREACHED BY
THE APOSTLE PAUL IN 1 CORINTHIANS FIFTEEN!

[1-11] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:  and that he was seen of Cephas (by Peter), then by the twelve:  after that, He was seen of above (by more than) five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep (have died).  After that, He was seen by James; then by all the apostles.  And last of all, He was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.  For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet (I am not worthy) to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.  But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all:  yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.  Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.

JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS;  JESUS WAS BURIED,
AND HIS FATHER RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD,
ALL ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES!

BY FAITH IN THIS, THE GOSPEL, WHOSOEVER
WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD,
SHALL BE SAVED FROM THEIR SINS, AND
FROM THE WRATH OF GOD THAT IS COMING!

[ALL SCRIPTURE IS BASED UPON THE KING JAMES VERSION]
