A TEST TO SEE IF YOU NEED A SAVIOR!

STEP NUMBER ONE OF THE TEST!

Write, in pencil, the following verses on a sheet of lined paper:

1 Corinthians 13

Note:  *  "Charity" is translated from the Greek word "agape," which means "unconditional love."

[4] Charity* suffers long, and (charity*) is kind; charity* envies not; charity* vaunts not (brags not of) itself, (charity*) is not puffed up,
[5] (Charity*) does not behave itself unseemly, (charity*) seeks not her own, (charity*) is not easily provoked, (charity*) thinks no evil;
[6] (Charity*) rejoices not in iniquity, but (charity*) rejoices in the truth;
[7] (Charity*) bears all things, (charity*) believes all things, (charity*) hopes all things, (charity*) endures all things.
[8] Charity* never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

STEP NUMBER TWO OF THE TEST!

Erase every use of the word "charity," and underline the empty places where "charity" was.

Example:

[4] ________ suffers long, and ________ is kind;________ envies not; ________ vaunts not (brags not of) itself, ________ is not puffed up,

STEP NUMBER THREE OF THE TEST!

Evaluate your life, and write your name in the blank for each that is always true of you.

Example:

[4] ____X____ suffers long, and ____X____ is kind; Paul envies not; Paul vaunts not (brags not of) itself, Paul is not puffed up,

STEP NUMBER FOUR OF THE TEST!

Grade your own test.  Count the number of times you were able to honestly write your name in the spaces.  There are sixteen possible places where you could have written your name.  IF you were honestly able to write your name in ALL sixteen, you do not need a Savior to die for your sins, because according to your test, you are now, and always have been, perfect!  However, if you, like me, could not honestly place your name in any of the spaces, you sin constantly, and the payment, according to God's Word (Romans 6:23), is death!  THAT is why I need Jesus Christ as my Savior; He died for my sins; He died in my place (1 Corinthians 15:3)!  I am 100% confident that you, like me, need Him as your Savior.  Trust Him today!  You will have eternity to thank Him!
