FAITH IN THE GOSPEL MESSAGE LEADS TO REPENTANCE!

THE GOSPEL MESSAGE HAS THE POWER TO SAVE US!

Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (non-Jew; Gentile).

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED FOR OUR SINS!

Psalm 65:3 - Iniquities prevail against me:  as for our transgressions, You shall purge them away.

Psalm 103:12 - As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Isaiah 53:5 - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

Galatians 1:3-5 - Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:  to Whom be glory forever and ever.  Amen.

JESUS WAS BURIED IN A BORROWED TOMB!

Isaiah 22:16 - What have you here?  And Whom have you here, that you have hewed out a sepulcher here, as He that hews Him out a sepulcher on high, and that graves (cuts) a habitation for himself in a rock?

Isaiah 53:9 - And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.

John 19:38-41 - And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus:  and Pilate gave him leave.  He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.  And there came also Nicodemus, who at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.  Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.  Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulcher, wherein was never man yet laid.

JESUS WAS RESURRECTED FROM THE GRAVE!

Psalm 16:10For You wilt not leave My soul in hell; neither will You suffer Your Holy One to see corruption.

Matthew 28:5-6 - And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not:  for I know that you seek Jesus, Who was crucified.  He is not here:  for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Mark 16:6 - And he said unto them, Be not affrighted (afraid):  You seek Jesus of Nazareth, Who was crucified:  He is risen; He is not here:  behold the place where they laid Him.

Luke 24:5-7 - And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek you the living among the dead?  He is not here, but is risen:  remember how He spoke unto you when He was yet in Galilee, saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Acts 2:22-27 - You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death:  because it was not possible that He should be holden of (held by) it.  For David spoke concerning Him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for He is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:  therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:  because You will not leave My soul in hell, neither will You suffer thine (allow Your) Holy One to see corruption.

THEREFORE:

Matthew 4:17 - From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mark 1:14-15 - Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God,  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the Gospel.

Luke 24:45-47 - Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  and that repentance and remission (payment for; removal of the debt) of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 20:20-21 - And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks (non-Jews; Gentiles), repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 7:9-10 - Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry (by my letter of rebuke), but that you sorrowed to repentance:  for you were made sorry after a godly manner, that you might receive damage (disciplining) by us in nothing.  For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of:  but the sorrow of the world works death.

2 Peter 3:8-9 - But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
