GENUINE FAITH!

GENUINE FAITH IS FOLLOWED BY WORSHIP!

John 9:1, 35-38 - And as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from his birth. . . . Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of God?  He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him?  And Jesus said unto him, You have both seen Him, and it is He Who talks with you.  And he said, Lord, I believe.  And he worshiped Him.

GENUINE FAITH IS FOLLOWED BY TRUST!

John 11:20-28, 43-45 - Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him:  but Mary sat still in the house.  Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother had not died.  But I know, that even now, whatsoever You will ask of God, God will give it to You.  Jesus said unto her, Your brother shall rise again.  Martha said unto Him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.  Jesus said unto her, I AM the resurrection, and the life:  he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  and whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.  Do you believe this?  She said unto Him, Yes, Lord:  I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, Who should come into the world. . . . And when He thus had spoken, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.  And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes:  and his face was bound about with a napkin.  Jesus said unto them, Loose him, and let him go.  Then many of the Jews who came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on Him.

GENUINE FAITH IS FOLLOWED BY BAPTISM*!
[*When possible; see Luke 23:42-43]

Acts 8:35-38 - And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I ask you, of Whom speaks the prophet this?  Of himself, or of some other man?  Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same Scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.  And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water:  and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what does hinder me to be baptized?  And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart, you may.  And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  And he commanded the chariot to stand still:  and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

GENUINE FAITH IS NOT EARNED!

Acts 16:27-34 - And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.  But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm:  for we are all here.  Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house.  And they spoke unto him the Word of the Lord, and to all who were in his house.  And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.  And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

GENUINE FAITH IS A GIFT!

Ephesians 2:8-9For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves (your own doing)it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should (so no man can) boast.
