PETER WENT FROM BEING LED OF THE FATHER

TO BEING LED BY SATAN IN ONLY SEVEN VERSES!

MATTHEW 16:
[13] When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?
[14] And they said, Some say that You are John the Baptist:  some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
[15] He said unto them, But whom say you that I am?
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
[17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona:  for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but My Father Who is in heaven.
[18] And I say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
[19] And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven:  and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:  and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
[20] Then charged He His disciples that they should tell no man that He was Jesus the Christ.
[21] From that time forth began Jesus to show unto His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
[22] Then Peter took Him, and began to rebuke Him, saying, Be it far from You, Lord:  this shall not be unto You.
[23] But He turned, and said unto Peter, Get behind Me, Satan:  you are an offence unto Me: for you savor not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

PROPHETIC EVENTS THAT WILL COME:

THE RAPTURE (CATCHING UP) OF THE CHURCH!

John 14:1-3 - Let not your heart be troubled:  you believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father's house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 - For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

THE SEVEN-YEAR TRIBULATION!

Daniel 9:24-27 - Seventy weeks (sevens; weeks of years) are determined upon thy people (Israel) and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:  the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.  And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself:  and the people of the prince that shall come (Romans) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary (A.D. 70); and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

CHRIST'S SECOND COMING:  HIS KINGDOM COME!

Matthew 24:29-31 - Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
