THE JESUS OF THE BIBLE!

THE WORD:  JESUS AS THE CREATOR!

Psalm 33:6 - By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

John 1:1, 3, 10 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - - - All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. - - - He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.

Ephesians 3:9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world has been hidden in God, Who created all things by Jesus Christ....

Colossians 1:16-17 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:  and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

Hebrews 1:1-2 - God, Who at sundry (various) times and in divers manners (differing ways) spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He has appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds....

Revelation 4:11 - You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power:  for You have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created.

THE WORD:  GOD  BECAME FLESH!

Isaiah 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:  and the government shall be upon His shoulder:  and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  (The Prince awaiting His Kingdom!)

John 1:11-14, 18 - He came unto His own (Israel), and His own received Him not.  But as many as received (whosoever receives) Him, to them gave He power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. - - - No man has seen God at any time; the Only Begotten Son, Who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

Philippians 2:5-8 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

1 Timothy 3:16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:  God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

THE WORD:  JESUS IS COMING AGAIN!

Revelation 19:11-16And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He does judge and make war.  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.  And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and His name is called The Word of God.  And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations:  and He shall rule them with a rod of iron:  and He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And He has on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

THIS JESUS IS THE JESUS WHO SAVES!
HAVE YOU CALLED UPON HIM AS THE
KING OF KINGS, AND THE LORD OF LORDS?
TIME IS SHORT:  TRUST IN HIM TODAY!

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

THE GOSPEL:  DEFINED!

Romans 1:16-17 - For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Gentile).  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

THE GOSPEL:  PRESENTED IN THE BOOKS KNOWN AS THE GOSPELS!

Matthew 1:21;16:21And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His name JESUS:  for He shall save His people from their sins. - - - From that time forth began Jesus to show unto His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Mark 1:1; 9:31The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God - - - For He taught His disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill Him; and after that He is killed, He shall rise the third day.

Luke 1:76-77; 18:32-33For He shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:  and they shall scourge Him, and put Him to death: and the third day He shall rise again.

John 8:24; 10:17-18I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins:  for if you believe not that I AM, you shall die in your sins. - - - Therefore does My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again.  No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.  I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of My Father.

THE GOSPEL:  PREACHED BY PETER!

Acts 2:22-24You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death:  because it was not possible that He should be holden of (held by) it.

THE GOSPEL:  PREACHED BY PAUL!

1 Corinthians 15:1-6 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand;  by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:  and that He was seen of Cephas (by Peter), then of the twelve:  after that, He was seen of above (by more than) five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present (this day), but some are fallen asleep (have died).

THE GOOD NEWS!

Romans 10:9-13 (according to my understanding) - If you shall (publicly) confess with your mouth (faith in) the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness (and is declared righteous by God); and with the mouth confession (of your faith) is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes in Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek (Gentile):  for the same Lord over all is rich (in mercy and grace) unto all who call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

THE DEATH OF A TRUE CHRISTIAN!

UNSAVED MAN IS SPIRITUALLY DEAD!

John 3:3-7 - Jesus answered and said unto him (Nicodemus), Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus said unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old?  Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (physical birth) and of the Spirit (spiritual birth), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Romans 3:23; 6:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (short of God's standard of perfection) - - - For the wages of sin (the consequences of sin) is death....

THE TRUE BELIEVER IS SPIRITUALLY ALIVE!

Ephesians 2:1And you has He quickened (made to live spiritually), who were dead in trespasses and sins....

1 Thessalonians 5:23And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

THE TRUE BELIEVER NEED NOT FEAR DEATH!

Psalm 116:15Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.

John 11:25-26Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believes in Me, though he were dead (physically), yet shall he live:  and whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die (spiritually)....

1 Corinthians 15:50-55Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.  Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep (die physically), but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:  for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  O death, where is thy sting?  O grave, where is thy victory?

Romans 8:35-39Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, Who is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:8 - We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Hebrews 2:12-15Saying, I will declare Thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto Thee.  And again, I will put my trust in Him.  And again, Behold I and the children which God has given me.  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He (Jesus) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

FOR THE TRUE BELIEVER, THE HORROR OF DYING,
IS NOTHING COMPARED TO AN ETERNITY WITH GOD!
