IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD'S TIMING: HE'S GOT THIS!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace."

Just a Few of God's Appointed Times:
Genesis 18:14 - "Is any thing too hard for the LORD?  At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."
2 Samuel 24:15 - "So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men."
Job 14:14 - "If a man die, shall he live again?  All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come."
Psalm 81:3 - "Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day."
Jeremiah 8:7 - "Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but My people know not the judgment of the LORD."
Daniel 8:19 - "And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation:  for at the time appointed the end shall be."
Habakkuk 2:3 "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
Romans 5:6 - "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly."
2 Corinthians 6:2 - "For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee:  behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
Galatians 4:1-5 - "Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.  Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:  but when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law, to redeem them that were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons."
1 Timothy 2:5-6 - "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."
Revelation 10:5-6 - "And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by Him that liveth forever and ever, Who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer...."

SOME CONFUSION ABOUT THE GOSPEL

The Gospel is often said to be found in two verses in the Book of 1 Corinthians (15:3-4), and yet, the first four books of the New Testament are four testimonies to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In fact, the Gospel of Mark begins with these words:  "The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God...."  Some students of the Bible believe the Gospel in the Gospels, is different than what the Apostle Paul preached.  They say the message of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, is the Gospel of the Kingdom, while Paul's Gospel is the Gospel of the King.  Paul strongly disagrees with that; in
Galatians 1:6-9, he wrote:  "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another Gospel:  which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ.  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other Gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Some ultra-dispensationalists would have you believe that the four Gospels were for the Jews only, and that Paul's epistles are strictly for the Church; and yet, Paul always began his ministry in a new location by preaching in the local synagogue.  And what about the fact that the foundation of the Church, and eventually the Holy Temple in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:14) is the twelve Apostles; not eleven who only preached to the Jews, and one who preached to the Gentiles!  In fact, Peter was the first to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles (Acts 10:34-48; 15:7-9)!  No, His disciples were to take their message into ALL THE WORLD!  Here are verses that support my view:

Matthew 24:14 - "And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

Matthew 26:12-13 - "For in that she hath poured this ointment on My body, she did it for My burial.  Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this Gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her."

Matthew 28:18-20 - "And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:  and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Mark 13:10 - "And the Gospel must first be published among all nations."

Mark 16:15-16 - "And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

Luke 24:45-48 - "Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  And ye are witnesses of these things."

Acts 1:8 - "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

John wrote his Gospel, according to 1:10-13 and 20:20-21, so that people, all people, might believe in Jesus:

"He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.  He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God....And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book:  but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name."

GROW UP!

A YOUNG CHILD CAN BE SAVED BY FAITH IN CHRIST

Luke 10:21 - "In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes:  even so, Father; for so it seemed good in Thy sight."

2 Timothy 1:5 - "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also...."

2 Timothy 3:14-15 - "...continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."

1 Peter 2:2 - "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby...."

BUT GOD DOES NOT WANT US TO REMAIN YOUNG CHILDREN

Ephesians 4:11 - "And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers...."

[Note:  According to Revelation 21:14, the Lamb (Jesus Christ) chose only twelve faithful apostles, which obviously does not include Judas Iscariot, and Matthias, whom His disciples chose - Acts 1:15-26.  Note that Jesus told Peter and the rest of the 120 to wait until they received the Holy Spirit - Acts 1:4-8!  Instead, Peter, being Peter, held a "business meeting," in which they chose Matthias.]

Ephesians 4:12-16 - "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  until we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect (mature) man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:  that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, Who is the head, even Christ:  from Hom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 - "And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.  I have fed you with milk, and not with meat:  for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.  For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?"

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  that the man (mature child) of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

Hebrews 5:12-14 - "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.  For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the Word of Righteousness: for he is a babe.  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

The saying, "You are what you eat," is especially true for the born again believer!
Unless you are regularly "eating the meat of  God's Word, "your growth is stunted!'

THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN: FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS

RELIGIONISTS ARE ALL DOOMED TO FAILURE

Romans 10:1-3 - "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.  For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."

Galatians 2:21 - "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the Law, then Christ is dead in vain."

THE FREE GIFT OF GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS IS FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE

Matthew 5:6 - "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:  for they shall be filled."

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Romans 1:17 - "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

Romans 3:22, 24-26 - "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe....Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time His righteousness:  that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."

Romans 4:3-6 - "...Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.  Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.  But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.  Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works...."

Romans 5:17-18 - "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by One, Jesus Christ.  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life."

Romans 10:9-10 - "...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

2 Corinthians 5:21 - "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."

Philippians 3:9 - "And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith."

Titus 3:5 - "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

JESUS DIED, WAS BURIED, AND ROSE AGAIN ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES!
HE DID IT FOR YOU!  DO YOU BELIEVE HE IS WORTHY TO BE YOUR LORD?

ROMANS ONE: NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

[ Note: ]  This passage of Scripture is loosely taken from the New Living Translation, but has been edited by me for clarification and emphasis.  I believe it is true to Paul's intent in writing it.

Romans Chapter One - Greetings from Paul
1-7 This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach His Gospel (hereafter designated as God's "Good News"). God promised this Good News long ago through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures. The Good News is about His Son. In His earthly life He was born into King David’s family line, and He was shown to be the Son of God when He was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.  He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey Him, bringing glory to His name.  And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be His own holy people.  May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

God’s Good News - He loves you!
8-17 Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in Him is being talked about all over the world. God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, Whom I serve with all my heart by spreading the Good News about His Son. One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you. For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to visit you, but I was prevented until now. I want to work among you and see spiritual fruit, just as I have seen among other Gentiles. For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world, to the educated and uneducated alike. So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News. For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a person is made righteous.”

God’s Anger at Sin
18-23 But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship Him as God or even give Him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
24-32 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator Himself, Who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, He abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

RACISM IS AN ABOMINATION UNTO GOD!

GOD CREATED BUT ONE RACE:  THE HUMAN RACE!

Acts 17:26 - God "...hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation...."

Genesis 3:20 - "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living."

Genesis 7:7 - "And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood."

Genesis 8:18 - "And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him."

Hebrews 11:7 - "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

1 Peter 3:20 - "Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."

2 Peter 2:4-5 - "...God....saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly."

BEING ONE FAMILY, ALL OF US ARE BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

Proverbs 6:16-19 - "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him:  a proud look (pride), a lying tongue (dishonesty), and hands that shed innocent blood (murders, abortionists, those who wound without actually killing), a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations (those who plot against others and their own government), feet that be swift in running to mischief (those who delight in lawlessness), a false witness that speaketh lies (failure to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth), and he that soweth discord among brethren (plots to incite riot and anarchy within the family - remember, we are all brothers and sisters)."

1 John 4:20-21

"If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God Whom he hath not seen?  And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also."

GOD LONGS TO BE OUR FATHER

HOW DOES ONE BECOME A CHILD OF GOD?

John 1:11-12 - Jesus "...came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the (children) of God, even to them that believe on His name."
John 3:3, 5-6, 16 - Jesus said unto Nicodemus, "...Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God....I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit....For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Romans 8:14-15 - "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the (children) of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
1 John 3:1-2 - "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the (children) of God....Beloved, now are we the (children) of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:  but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS AND GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD!
TO THOSE OF US WHO BELIEVE THAT, GOD SAYS HE IS "OUR FATHER!"

Matthew 6:9 - "After this manner therefore pray ye:  Our Father Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name."
Romans 1:7 - "To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints:  Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Corinthians 1:3 - "Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Corinthians 1:2 - "Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."
Ephesians 1:2 - "Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."
Philippians 1:2 - "Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."
Colossians 1:2 - "To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse:  Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 1:1 - "Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ:  Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Thessalonians 1:1 - "Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Timothy 1:2 - "Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith:  Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord."
Philemon 1:3 - "Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."

IF THE BIBLE SAYS SOMETHING ONE TIME, IT IS THE TRUTH!
GOD MUST REALLY WANT US TO KNOW WE ARE HIS CHILDREN!!!!!!!

HEARING THE GOSPEL LEADS TO REPENTANCE

The word "repentance" appears 25 times in 25 New Testament verses of the King James Version of the Bible [Mt. 3:8, 11; 9:13; Mk. 1:4; 2:17; Lk. 3:3, 8; 5:32; 15:7; 24:47; Acts 5:31; 11:08; 13:24; 19:4; 20:21; 26:20; Rom. 2:4; 11:29; 2 Cor. 7:9, 10; 2 Tim. 2:25; Heb. 6:1, 6; 12:17; 2 Pet. 3:9].  It is translated from the Greek μετάνοια (metanoia), which, according to the Blue Letter Bible which uses Strong's Concordance, means "a change of mind, as it appears to one who repents, of a purpose he has formed or of something he has done."  Young's Concordance defines it as "penitent."  Easton's Bible Dictionary defines it as:  "true repentance, a change of mind and purpose and life, to which remission of sin is promised."

Perhaps the most important verse where μετάνοια appears is Luke 24:47; in context it reads:
[46] And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
[47] And that repentance AND remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
[48] And ye are witnesses of these things.

Repentance occurs when one believes the message of Remission; that is, the Gospel; it is found in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 and reads:  "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures...."

The Gospel of Mark seems to say that his entire book is the Gospel; he wrote in Mk. 1:1:  "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God...."

The Gospel of John tells us that "...when He (the Holy Spirit) is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  Of sin, because they believe not on Me; Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see Me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged" (Jn. 16:8-11).

So how does this all work?  The Holy Spirit moves believers to share the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with unbelievers.  Some of them believe and repent.  The message is powerful:  "it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth" (Rom. 1:16).  Paul explained exactly how it works in Romans 10:9-14, 17:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the (Gentile):  for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard....So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

FROM THE DAYS OF NOAH UNTIL TODAY!

Genesis 6:5 - "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

Deuteronomy 9:4 - "Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee."

Job 4:8 - "Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same."

Psalm 5:4 - "For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with Thee."

Proverbs 26:26 - "Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be showed before the whole congregation."

Isaiah 47:10 - "For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness:  thou hast said, None seeth me.  Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me."

Jeremiah 14:20 - "We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against Thee."

Ezekiel 7:11 - "Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them."

Hosea 7:2 - "And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before My face."

Jonah 1:2 - "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before Me."

Mark 7:21-23 - "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:  all these evil things come from within, and defile the man."

Acts 8:22 - "Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee."

Romans 1:28-32 - "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all....wickedness....who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

Ephesians 6:12 - "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

1 John 5:19 - "And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness."

THE OPPOSITE OF WICKEDNESS IS RIGHTEOUSNESS:
UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO NOT ONE!
HOWEVER, THERE IS A SOLUTION:  2 CORINTHIANS 5:21

WAITING ON THE LORD'S RETURN

Mark 15:43 - "Joseph of Arimathaea, and honourable counseller, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and begged (Lk. 23:52) the body of Jesus."

Romans 8:21-25 - "Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  For we are saved by hope:  but hope that is seen is not hope:  for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it."

1 Corinthians 1:6-8 - "Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:  so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:  Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Galatians 5:5 - "For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith."

1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 - "For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come."

2 Thessalonians 3:4-5 - "And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.  And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

James 5:7-8 - "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh."

Titus 2:12-14 - "Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

CHILD OF GOD - OBEY YOUR LORD!

IF JESUS IS YOUR LORD, OBEY HIM!

Acts 5:29-32 - "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to OBEY God rather than men.  The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, Whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.  Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.  And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, Whom God hath given to them that OBEY Him."

Romans 6:16-17 - "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to OBEY, his servants ye are to whom ye OBEY; whether of sin unto death, or of OBEDIENCE unto righteousness?  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have OBEYED from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you."

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 - "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:  who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power."

2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 - "And if any man OBEY NOT our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.  Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother."

Hebrews 5:9 - "...He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that OBEY Him."

Hebrews 11:8 - "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, OBEYED; and he went out, not knowing whither he went."

1 Peter 1:18-23 - "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.  Seeing ye have purified your souls in OBEYING the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:  being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever."

1 Peter 4:17 - "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:  and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that OBEY NOT the Gospel of God?"

WE HAVE BEEN SAVED TO SERVE

Romans 1:1 - "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the Gospel of God."

Romans 6:22 - "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."

Romans 14:8-9 - "For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord:  whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord'sFor to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living."

Ephesians 6:5-6 - "Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart."

Colossians 4:12 - "Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God."

2 Timothy 2:24 - "And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient...."

James 1:1 - "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting."

1 Peter 2:16-17 - "As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.  Honour all men.  Love the brotherhood.  Fear God.  Honour the king."

Revelation 1:1 - "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John."

Revelation 19:5 - "And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great."

Revelation 22:6 - "And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true:  and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show unto His servants the things which must shortly be done."

SHE IS NOT PREGNANT - SHE IS WITH CHILD!

GOD DETERMINES WHO IS WITH CHILD
Genesis 21:1-3 - "And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as He had spoken.  For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.  And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac."
Ecclesiastes 11:5 - "As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
Jeremiah 1:4-5 - "Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."

GOD DOES SO IN SPITE OF WHAT WE MIGHT CHOOSE
Genesis 16:11 - "And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction."
Genesis 19:36 - "Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father."
Genesis 38:24-25 - "And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.  When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff."
2 Samuel 11:4-5 - "And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.  And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child."

TO KILL THE INNOCENT IS THE WORST KIND OF MURDER
Exodus 21:22-23 - "If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow:  he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.  And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life."
Deuteronomy 5:17 - "Thou shalt not kill."
Proverbs 6:16-17 - "These things doth the LORD hate: yea...are an abomination unto Him...hands that shed innocent blood."
Amos 1:13 - "Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border."
Matthew 18:6, 14 - "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea....Even so it is not the will of your Father Who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish."

MARY WAS WITH CHILD, AND WHAT IF SHE HAD AN ABORTION!!!
Matthew 1:18 - "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:  When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost."
Luke 1:30-31 "And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call His name JESUS."

ABORTION IS NOT THE UNPARDONABLE SIN!
BUT DON'T KILL YOUR CHILD THINKING:
"I'LL JUST ASK FOR FORGIVENESS LATER."

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN'S MESSAGE: BELIEVE!

Here are just thirty-one of the many, many verses in the Gospel of John on believing in Christ:

John 1:12 - "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name."

John 3:14-16, 36 - "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:  that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life....He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

John 5:24 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

John 6:29, 35, 40, 47 - "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him Whom He hath sent....And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:  he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst....And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life:  and I will raise him up at the last day....Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life."

John 7:38-39 - "He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.  (But this spake He of the Spirit, Whom they that believe on Him should receive:  for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified)."

John 8:24 - "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."

John 9:35-38 - "Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?  He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him?  And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee.  And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him."

John 11:25-27 - "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?  She saith unto Him, Yea, Lord:  I believe that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God, Who should come into the world."

John 12:44-47 - "Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on Me, believeth not on Me, but on Him that sent Me.  And he that seeth Me seeth Him that sent Me.  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.  And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world."

John 14:1 - "Let not your heart be troubled:  ye believe in God, believe also in Me."

John 16:27 - "For the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved Me, and have believed that I came out from God."

John 17:20-21 - "Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; that they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me."

John 20:28-31 - "And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God.  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.  And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book:  but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name."

WHY ARE WE SHOCKED BY THE EVENING NEWS?

SO WHAT'S NEW?  NOTHING!
Ecclesiastes 1:9 - "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done:  and there is no new thing under the sun."

WICKEDNESS ABOUNDED IN THE DAYS OF NOAH AND LOT!
Luke 17:26-30 - "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

WICKEDNESS ABOUNDED IN THE DAYS OF THE APOSTLE PAUL!
Romans 1:20-32 - "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Amen.  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections:  for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, spiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

WICKEDNESS SHALL BE THE NORM WHEN JESUS RETURNS!
2 Timothy 3:1-5 - "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away."

YOU HAVE A CHOICE:  YOU CAN DO AS YOU PLEASE IN THIS LIFE,
OR YOU CAN TURN TO JESUS AND HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!!!

THERE BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD GO I

APART FROM THE WORK OF GOD IN US, WE ARE NOTHING!

Our relationship to God, as our Father, is totally the work of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Salvation is God's gift to us!  We are heirs of God because He adopted us as His children; a child does not earn adoption, but benefits from the love of the parents!  We are guided by the Holy Spirit, to desire to do what pleases God!  And we are sealed as God's child until the day we are made like Him!  Check out these verses:

Romans 8:14-15 - "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 - "Now He Who establisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;  Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest (down payment) of the Spirit in our hearts."

Galatians 4:4-6 - "But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law, to redeem them that were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father."

Ephesians 1:3-7 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:  having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.  In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."

Ephesians 1:13-14 - "In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation:  in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Who is the earnest (down payment) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory."

Ephesians 2:8-10 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Philippians 1:6 - "Being confident of this very thing, that He Who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

Philippians 2:13 - "For it is God Who worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure."

Colossians 1:12-14 - "Giving thanks unto the Father, Who hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:  in Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins."

1 Peter 1:3-5 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

TO GOD BE THE GLORY; FOR WE DESERVE ETERNITY IN HELL!

INTRODUCING THE LOST TO THE REAL JESUS CHRIST!

JESUS IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A SAVIOR

Because so many religions, including the vast majority of those professing to be Christians, teach that one can earn his or her way to heaven by good works, genuine born again believers have become "spiritually paranoid" about religious works; none dare discuss discipleship or the fact that Jesus is The Creator (Jn. 1:1-2; Col. 1:16-17; Heb. 1:1-2), The Son of God (Mt. 3:17; 17:5; 2 Pet. 1:17; etc.), and The Lord (Lk. 2:11; Phil. 3:20; Titus 1:4, 2 Pet. 2:20; etc.), with those to whom they share the Gospel!  The word "obey" appears 69 times in 66 verses in the King James Version; 26 OF THEM IN THE NEW TESTAMENT!  I wonder if any of these "self-appointed guardians of the faith," realize that the word "obedience" appears 12 times in 12 verses, ALL IN THE NEW TESTAMENT!  While it is true that religious works cannot save the lost (Gal. 2:16; Eph. 2:9; Titus 3:5; etc.), it is abundantly clear that born again believers are called upon by God to walk in obedience to our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ (Jn. 13:13).

NEW TESTAMENT VERSES CONTAINING THE WORD "OBEDIENCE"

Romans 1:1-5 (SLV) - "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ....Who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by His Resurrection from the dead:  by Whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name...."

Romans 5:19 (KJV) - "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous."

Romans 6:16-17 (KJV) - "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you."

Romans 16:19, 25 (KJV) - "For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf:  but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil....But now is made manifest, and by the Scriptures of the Prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith."

1 Corinthians 14:34 (KJV) - "Let your women keep silence in the churches:  for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the Law."

2 Corinthians 7:14 (KJV) - "And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him."

2 Corinthians 10:5-6 (KJV) - "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."

Philemon 1:21 (KJV) - "Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say."

Hebrews 5:8 (KJV) - "Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered...."

1 Peter 1:2 (KJV) - "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:  Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied."

TRUST AND OBEY, THERE IS NOT OTHER WAY
TO BE HAPPY IN JESUS, THAN TO TRUST AND OBEY!

SALVATION: GOD'S GRACIOUS OFFER TO ALL WHO WILL TRUST HIM

TIMES BEFORE THE CHURCH AGE
NOAH AND LOT SAVED FROM THE WRATH OF GOD BY GRACE

Luke 17:27-30 - "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed."
Genesis 6:5-8 - "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.  And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth Me that I have made them.  But Noah found GRACE in the eyes of the LORD."
Genesis 19:15-19 - "And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.  And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.  And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed....Behold now, thy servant hath found GRACE in thy sight...."

THE DISPENSATION OF GRACE, A.K.A. THE CHURCH AGE
THE CHURCH SAVED FROM THE WRATH OF GOD BY GRACE

Ephesians 3:1-7 - For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, if ye have heard of the Dispensation of the GRACE of God (The Church Age) which is given me to you-ward:  how that by revelation He made known unto me the mystery (as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ); which in other ages (Innocence; Conscience; Government; Promise; Law) was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the Gospel:  whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power."
John 14:1-3 - "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father's house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 - "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.  For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede those who are asleep.  For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 - "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him."
Revelation 3:7-10 - "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth....Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

GRACE IS UNMERITED FAVOR; IT IS A FREE GIFT OF SALVATION FROM GOD
TO ALL WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN THE LORD JESUS!

THE "I AM" OF ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH

Most students of Bible Prophecy are aware of the fact that the Book of Revelation begins with the things the Apostle John had seen (Ch. 1), followed by those things which were occurring at the time of his vision (Ch. 2 and 3), and that the remaining chapters (Ch. 4-22) address those things yet to come (see 1:19, and 4:1)!  And, most also believe that because the Church is not mentioned in prophecy describing the Tribulation, Christ's Second Coming, and His Millennial Kingdom (Ch. 4-20), that the Rapture of the Church is pictured in John's being told to "Come up hither" (4:1).

But I, being a slow learner, have taken nearly forty-seven years as a student of God's Word, to make the connection between the Lord being the "I AM" of  the Jews in Exodus, and Him being the "I AM" of the Church!   Note that the "I AM's" of Revelation appear in the same chapters which mention the Church being here on earth!  Coincidence?  No way!  The Lord wants us to know that the same God Who identified with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, also identifies with the Church!  Praise Him!!!!!!!

Revelation Chapter One
[4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne.
[8] I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty.
[11] Saying, I AM Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last:  and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
[17-18] And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I AM the First and the Last:  I AM He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I AM alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
[20] The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Revelation Chapter Two
[1] Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith He that holdeth the seven stars in His right hand, Who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
[7-8] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.  And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the First and the Last, Who was dead, and is alive;
[11-12] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.  And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith He which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
[17-18] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, Who hath His eyes like unto a flame of fire, and His feet are like fine brass;
[23] And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I AM He Who searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
[29] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation Chapter Three
[1] And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith He that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
[6-7] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.  And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He that is Holy, He that is True, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
[13-14] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.  And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God;
[22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation Chapter Twenty-one
[6] And He said unto me, It is done. I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Revelation Chapter Twenty-two
[13] I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
[16] I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I AM the Root and the Offspring of David, and the Bright and Morning Star.

WHAT IS MORE SACRED THAN GOD'S NAME

GOD REVEALED HIS NAME IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

*  Exodus 3:13-15 - "And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is His name?  What shall I say unto them?  And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.  And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you:  this is My name forever, and this is My memorial unto all generations."

*  Exodus 6:2-3 - "And God spoke unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:  and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by My name JEHOVAH was I not known to them."

*  Isaiah 42:8 - "I am the LORD: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images."

BUT GOD SAID THERE WAS SOMETHING MORE SACRED THAN HIS NAME

*  Psalm 138:2 - "I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy name for Thy loving kindness and for Thy truth:  for Thou hast magnified Thy Word above all Thy name."

THE NEW TESTAMENT REVEALS THE IDENTITY OF HIS WORD!

*  John 1:1-3, 10-14 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made....He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.  He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

*  1 John 1:1-3 - "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of Life;  for the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us; that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us:  and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ."

*  1 John 5:4-7 - "For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.  Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?  This is He Who came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

SAVING FAITH COMES FROM HEARING THE WORD OF GOD

*  Acts 4:10, 12 - "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom ye crucified, Whom God raised from the dead....Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

WORKS DO NOT SAVE, BUT THE SAVED DO WORKS!

WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS CANNOT SAVE THE LOST

*  Romans 4:1-5 - "What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?  For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.  For what saith the Scripture?  Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.  Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.  But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

*  Titus 3:3-5 - "For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.  But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT TO ALL WHO TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST

*  Romans 5:15-19 (ERV) - "But God’s free gift is not like Adam’s sin. Many people died because of the sin of that one man. But the grace that people received from God was much greater. Many received God’s gift of life by the grace of this other man, Jesus Christ. After Adam sinned once, he was judged guilty. But the gift of God is different. His free gift came after many sins, and it makes people right with him. One man sinned, and so death ruled all people because of that one man. But now some people accept God’s full grace and His great gift of being made right. Surely they will have true life and rule through the one man, Jesus Christ. So that one sin of Adam brought the punishment of death to all people. But in the same way, Christ did something so good that it (has the power to make - see Jn. 1:12; Rom. 1:16) all people right with God. And that brings them true life. One man disobeyed God and many became sinners. But in the same way, one man obeyed God and many will be made right."

*  Ephesians 2:4-9 - "But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us,  even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast."

WE ARE NOT SAVED BY WORKS, BUT BEING SAVED, WORKS FOLLOW

*  Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

*  Titus 3:6-8 - The Holy Ghost "which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men."

JAMES WAS "FROM MISSOURI" - YOU SAY YOU BELIEVE?  SHOW ME!

*  James 2:14-20 - "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works?  Can (that kind of) faith save him?  If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?  Even so faith, if it hath not works (if there is no evidence), is dead, being alone.  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without (resulting in) works is dead?"

WE ARE LIVING IN THE LAST DAYS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

A DISCRIPTION OF TODAY BY THE APOSTLE PAUL

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (King James Version) - This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (Douay Rheims Catholic Version) - This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (New Living Translation) - You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

A DESCRIPTION OF TODAY BY THE APOSTLE PETER

2 Peter 3:3-4 (King James Version) - Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming?  For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

2 Peter 3:3-4 (Douay Rheims Catholic Version) - Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming?  For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."

2 Peter 3:3-4 (New Living Translation) - Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, "What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again?  From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created."

THE WORD OF GOD FOR THE K.J.V. ONLY FOLKS;
FOR THE ROMAN CATHOLIC FOLKS;
AND FOR THE "I DON'T UNDERSTAND BIBLE JARGON FOLKS!"

THE SEVEN FEASTS OF THE LORD

THE FEASTS OF THE LORD FULFILLED WITH CHRIST'S FIRST ADVENT
There are seven Feasts of the Lord, known as the Spring Feasts, which symbolize events that God has ordained must take place.  Passover was fulfilled with the Crucifixion of Jesus (1 Cor. 5:7 - "Christ our Passover")!  Unleavened Bread was fulfilled in the burial of the "unleavened" (sinless) Christ (Heb. 4:15 - "yet without sin")!  First Fruits was fulfilled with the Resurrection of Christ (1 Cor. 15:20 - "Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.")!

ONE FEAST OF THE LORD IS BEING FULFILLED BY THE CHURCH AGE
The Feast of Weeks, or Pentecost, marked the beginning of the Church Age (Acts 2:1-47)!  When this age will be complete is unknown (Mk. 13:32).  What we do know is that it will end with Christ removing the Church via the Rapture of the Church (Jn. 14:1-6; 1 Cor. 15:50-54; 1 Th. 4:13-18; etc.)!

THE FEASTS OF THE LORD YET TO BE FULFILLED BY CHRIST
I do not want to be dogmatic about the last three Feasts of the Lord, known as the Fall Feasts, but I believe they will be fulfilled as follows:

The Feast of Trumpets (plural) will begin with the trumpet at the Rapture of the Church (1 Cor. 15:52; 1 Th. 4:16) immediately followed by the assembly call of the trumpet to gather all Israel back into the land of promise (Joel 2:15).  The false messiah, the Antichrist, will covenant with Israel for a seven-year period of peace (Dan. 9:27), and the "trumpet" represents the safe assembling of Israel.

The Feast of the Day of Atonement has to do with Israel being humbled by their awareness of sin; I believe this occurs mid-way through the seven-year Tribulation, on the day they see the Antichrist seated in the Temple declaring himself to be god (Dan. 9:27; Mt. 24:15; Rev. Ch. 13).  Romans 11:25 says of Israel: "...that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in."  Their "eyes being opened," they spend the last three and a half years in hiding (Mt. 24:16-21; Rev. 12:6; etc.)!

The Feast of Tabernacles is the easiest of the Fall Feasts to interpret (at least I think so).  It is a picture of Christ's Second Coming, and as "Emmanuel," He dwells on earth during His Millennial Kingdom (Rev. 20:1-15)!

We are in the Church Age, and time is rapidly running out before this age ends.  The sign are everywhere!!!  Christ has provided the free gift of salvation to all who will put their trust in Him.  He died for your sins; He was buried, but God raised Him from the dead, to have authority over all of creation (1 Cor. 15:1-4; 25-27; Eph. 1:22; Heb. 2:8)!!!  Call upon the name of the Lord today, and you will have eternal life with Him (Jn. 3:16; Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 10:9-10; etc.)!!!!!!!

BELIEVERS ARE SAVED TO SERVE

The Apostle Paul wrote that our salvation is a free gift given to us according to God's grace; it cannot be earned (Rom. 5:6-19)!  In Ephesians 2:8-9, he wrote:  "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast."  And yet, even though salvation is free to all who believe the Gospel (1 Cor. 15:3-4), the Lord knows those who trust Him, want to serve Him.  Ephesians 2:10 says:  "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."  In Philippians 2:13, Paul wrote:  "For it is God Who worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure."  Here are several verses that indicate His children are to serve Him:

*  Matthew 4:10 - "Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan:  for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve."
*  John 12:26 - "If any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be:  if any man serve Me, him will My Father honor."
*  Acts 27:23 - "For there stood by me this night the angel of God, Whose I am, and Whom I serve."
*  Romans 1:9 - "For God is my witness, Whom I serve with my spirit in the Gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers."
*  Romans 7:6 - "But now we are delivered from the Law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter."
*  Romans 7:25 - "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  So then with the mind I myself serve the Law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."
*  Colossians 3:24 - "Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:  for ye serve the Lord Christ."
*  1 Thessalonians 1:9 - "For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God."
*  2 Timothy 1:3 - "I thank God, Whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day."
*  Hebrews 9:14 - "How much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"
*  Hebrews 12:28 - "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear."
*  Revelation 7:14-15 - "And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.   Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them."
*  Revelation 22:3 - "And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him."

WE ARE NOT SAVE BY WORKS,
BUT THE SAVED WANT TO SERVE THEIR SAVIOR!
