WHO IS THIS JESUS TO YOU?

With Mormons teaching that Jesus was the human brother of Satan, and that He has been "promoted" to deity, just as His Father was long ago, it is difficult for them to explain that Jesus created the very world in which He originated, the world where He became a being, a human child (Jn. 1:1-3; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:1-2; etc.).  That's right:  Mormon doctrine teaches that Jesus' Father, Almighty God, was once a man.  The saying goes something like, "As we are, God once was; as God is, we shall be."

Muslims are taught that Jesus was not born of a virgin, He was not the Son of God (for their "holy book" says Allah, their God, has no son), that He died for His own sins, and will one day return to serve as an "enforcer" for the Mahdi, Islam's "messiah."

To most of the rest of humanity, at least to those who are willing to believe a man named Jesus once lived, He is compared with other great teachers such as Buddha, Confucius, Gandhi, and even Martin Luther King, Jr.!  Just a very wise, benevolent, peace-loving teacher.

But to born again believers, Jesus is God (Jn. 1:1, 14; Ti. 2:13; Heb. 1:8; Jn. 20:28; etc.)!  And as God, those who believe He died for their sin, that He was buried, and that the Father raised Him from the grave, also believe that He was raised to be their Lord (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Rom. 10:9-13; etc.)!  He is to be obeyed out of gratitude for all that He has done for us (1 Jn. 4:19 - "We love Him because He first loved us!").

Jesus is called the "Son of God" forty-four times in the Scriptures.  The Father refers to Jesus as "My Son" in Matthew 3:17; 17:5; Mark 1:11; 9:7; Luke 3:22; 20:13; and in First Peter 1:17!  He is called "Lord" hundreds of times!  Psalm 110:1; Matthew 22:44; Luke 20:22; and Acts 2:34 all quote this:  "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool."

Those who believe in Jesus, believe they owe Him everything!
