THE DEITY OF CHRIST

JESUS IS THE CREATOR

Genesis 1:26 - "And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

John 1:1-3, 14 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD.  The same was in the beginning with God.  ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.  And the WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Colossians 1:16-17 - "For BY HIM WERE ALL THINGS CREATED, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM, and for Him:  And HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, and BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST."

Hebrews 1:1-3 - "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, BY WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."

 

JESUS WAS, AND IS, MUCH MORE THAN JUST A MAN

Isaiah 9:6-7 - "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE.  Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this."

Psalm 45:6 w/ Hebrews 1:8 - "THY THRONE, O GOD, is forever and ever: the sceptre of Thy kingdom is a right sceptre.   BUT UNTO THE SON HE SAITH, THY THRONE, O GOD, is forever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy kingdom."

1 Timothy 6:15 w/ Revelation 19:16 -

JESUS IS "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!"
