THE THREE LEVELS OF SPIRITUALITY!

 GOD'S WILL IN CREATING MAN!

Genesis 1

[26] And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness:  and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.  [27] So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

NOTICE:  Man was created after God's image but not in His likeness.  Our appearance is like His, but our character is not!

BEING BORN AGAIN DOES NOT DO IT!

Romans 7

[15] For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.  [16] If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.  [17] Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  [18] For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.  [19] For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.  [20] Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  [21] I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.  [22] For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:  [23] But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  [24] O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?  [25] I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

NOTICE:  The Apostle Paul uses the present tense in describing his current struggle with sin; he is not yet like God!

WHEN WILL BE BECOME LIKE JESUS?

1 John 3

[1] Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons (children) of God:  therefore the world knows us not, because it knew Him not.  [2] Beloved, now are we the sons (children) of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be:  but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

NOTICE:  In Romans 8:16, the Apostle Paul says - The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are (present tense) the children of God.  And again in Galatians 3:26, he says, For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  SO - there are three levels of spirituality:  1) the unsaved; 2) the born again; 3) those who are like Jesus!

THE LOST REJECT JESUS!

THE BORN AGAIN ACCEPT JESUS!

THOSE WHO SEE HIM ARE LIKE HIM!
