The Creation (Christ's handiwork - Jn. 1:1-3; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:1-2; etc.)
"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars also" (Gen. 1:14-16).
The Church Age (Christ's First Coming until the Tribulation)
"And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel (Christ as Emmanuel, "God with us" - Mt. 1:23), and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and My people shall never be ashamed. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call" (Joel 2:27-32).
"But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; and it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy: and I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE that great and notable day of the Lord come: and it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:16-21).
The Great and Terrible Day of the Lord
Few, if any, students of Bible prophecy would deny that "the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord" is anything other than the Tribulation (Daniels Seventieth Week - Dan. 9:27; the Time of Jacob's Trouble - Jer. 30:7; Great Tribulation - Mt. 24:21). Today, BEFORE this terrible seven-year period, our planet is in the midst of signs from heaven; we are four days away from the second lunar eclipse of what has been called "the Blood Moon Tetrad" (four lunar eclipses falling on the Feasts of Passover and Tabernacles in two consecutive years). It happened in 1949-50 while Israel was fighting to protect its new homeland, and in 1967-68 when they were in a six-day war, ending with Israel controlling Jerusalem. This one (2014-15) has already seen Israel at war with Hamas, and perhaps, when it is finished, Israel will have control of the Temple Mount! Praise God!
He gave us instructions to look for signs in the heavens,
so look up, your redemption draweth nigh!
