Ironically, Satan and his devils know exactly who Jesus is! The Word of God says in Matthew 8:29, that when Jesus approached two men who were possessed by devils, the devils cried out, "What have we to do with Thee, Jesus, Thou Son of God? Art Thou come hither to torment us before the time?"
Proverbs 30:4 says, "Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in His fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if thou canst tell?"
John 3:16-18 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
In Matthew 3:17, we read: "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Again, in Matthew 17:5, we read: "While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him."
Jesus IS God - Jesus is the Creator (Jn. 1:1-3; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:1-2; etc.). Jesus forgave sin; only God can forgive sin (Mt. 9:1-8). Jesus accepted worship; only God is to be worshipped (Mt. 2:11; 8:2; 9:18; 14:33; 15:25; 28:9; Jn. 20:28; etc. / Mt. 4:10; Lk. 4:8; etc.).
To be saved, one must accept Jesus for who He is: LORD (Rom. 10:9-10)!
