We also recognize Pentecost, the mysterious single feast, alone and the only one to use leaven, as being the birth of the Church, a mystery to the Jews, even until this day (Acts 2:1-41; Eph. 5:32). Born again believers, consisting of both Jews and Gentiles, are those who constitute the membership of the Church, and we are far from sinless (Rom. 7:155-25; 1 Jn. 1:8-10; etc.)!
As with the first four Feasts of the Lord, many students of the Bible believe that the last three feasts are also pictures of Christ's Coming, but that they are "pictures" of His Second Advent. The Feast of Trumpets (Lev. 23:24) has two meanings: 1) there is a trumpet which accompanies the Rapture of the Church (1 Th. 4:16-17), and 2) the re-gathering of Israel (Num. 10:1-3) to begin the seven-year period know as Daniel's Seventieth Week (Dan. 9:27), the Time of Jacob's Trouble (Jer. 30:7), and Israel's Tribulation (Mt. 24:3-29; Rev. 6 - 18).
Once Israel has re-gathered in the land, apparently requiring only ten days (cp. Lev. 23:24 w/ v. 27), they are to focus on the atonement for their sins (Lev. 23:27). They will have three and a half years of preaching from God's two witnesses, but instead of repenting, they celebrate the execution of the two prophets of God (Rev. 11:1-12). It is then that God unleashes unholy trinity (Satan, The re-animated Antichrist, and the False Prophet - Rev. 13). For the next three and a half years, Israel will be on the run (Dan. 9:27; Mt. 24:15-28; Rev. 13 - 18)!
Finally, seven years (approximately - we do not know how much time passes between the Rapture and the beginning of the Tribulation) after the Church has been taken up into heaven, the final Feast of Tabernacles; He will literally fulfill it! Jesus will fulfill it by living with His people Israel here on Earth. That is what the word "tabernacle," the Hebrew מִשְׁכָּן (mishkan), means, God dwelling with us (Mt. 1:23; 17:4). The 1000 year reign of Jesus on earth, is known as the Millennial Kingdom of Christ (Rev. 20:1-6)
Jesus WILL literally fulfill the Fall feasts! SOON!
