SUBMIT AND OBEY

CHRISTIANS ARE TO SUBMIT

Romans 10:3 - "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."
1 Corinthians 16:16 - "That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth."
Ephesians 5:21-22 - "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord."
Colossians 3:18 - "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord."
Hebrews 13:17 - "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you."
James 4:7 - "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
1 Peter 2:13-14 - "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by Him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well."
1 Peter 5:7 - "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble."

 

CHRISTIANS ARE TO OBEY

Acts 5:29, 32 - "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.  And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey Him."
Romans 6:17 - "But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you."
Ephesians 6:1 - "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right."
Colossians 3:22 - "Servants (employees), obey in all things your masters (supervisors) according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God."
Titus 3:1 - "Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work."
Hebrews 5:9 - "And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him."
1 Peter 1:22 - "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently."
1 Peter 3:1 - "Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the Word, they also may without the Word be won by the conversation of the wives."
