MY THOUGHTS ON THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS!

JESUS, AS THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD,

DIED FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD!

John 1:29 - The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away THE SIN OF THE WORLD. 

John 4:39-42 - And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him for the saying of the woman, who testified, He told me all that ever I did.  So when the Samaritans were come unto Him, they besought Him that He would tarry with them:  and He abode there two days.  And many more believed because of His own word; and said unto the woman, Now we believe, not (just) because of your saying:  for we have heard Him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD. 

1 John 2:1-2 - My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  and He is the propitiation (total satisfaction; the payment in full of our debt) for our sins:  and not for ours only, but also for THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD.

1 John 4:10-14 - Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation (total satisfaction; the payment in full of our debt) for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.  No man has seen God at any time.  If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us.  Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.  And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.  

WHO IS THIS JESUS OF THE BIBLE?

John 1:1, 14 - Jesus is God!

Colossians 1:15 - Jesus is the image of the invisible God! 

Hebrews 1:3 - Jesus is the brightness of God's glory, and the express image of His person!

John 3:18 - Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God!

John 13:13 - Jesus is Master and Lord!

1 Timothy 3:15 - Jesus is King of kings!

Revelation 19:16 - Jesus is Lord of lords!

John 8:58 - Jesus was the I AM before Abraham existed!

Revelation 13:8 - Jesus was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world!

AND YET,

John 1:3, 10; Colossians 1:16-17; and Hebrews 1:2 all tell us that Jesus created the very world for which He would suffer and die!

JESUS IS TO BE RECOGNIZED AS LORD BY

THOSE WHO TRUST HIM TO BE THEIR SAVIOR!
