THE GOSPEL: THE MESSAGE IS FOR ALL

WAIT!

Acts 1:4-8 - And (Jesus), being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, Whom, said He, ye have heard of Me.  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?  And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own power.  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

THE GOSPEL TO THE JEWS

Acts 2:1-11 - And when the Day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.  Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.  And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?  And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?  Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

Acts 2:46-47 - And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to the Church daily such as should be saved.

THE GOSPEL TO THE SAMARITANS

Acts 8:14-17 - Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:  who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost (For as yet He was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.):  then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

THE GOSPEL TO THE GENTILES

Acts 10:44-48 - While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.  And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.  Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

NOTE:

When the Book of Acts begins, there are three classifications of people on earth:  Jews, Samaritans, and Gentiles.   By the time we arrive in Chapter Ten, we see that people from all three heard the Gospel, and believing, became equal members of the Church, the Body of Christ!  Today, there is absolutely no doubt that God, Who is not a respecter of persons, welcomes any and all who will put their faith in His Only Begotten Son!  The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 10:9-13:

"...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile:  for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
