THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LAW OF GOD AND THE GRACE OF GOD!

The Law was given by Moses,
but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

- - - - - - -

The Law says, “Do;” grace says, “It is done!”

The Law reflects God’s holy and righteous standards to which we all fall short.  Grace involves God’s love and unmerited favor, freely bestowing eternal life to those who trust in Jesus!

The Law demands righteousness; grace freely justifies sinners!

The Law condemns the best person; grace saves to the worst person!

The Law kills; grace makes alive!

The Law prohibits and demands; grace beseeches and bestows!

The Law curses; grace blesses!

The Law shuts every mouth before God; grace opens mouths praising God!

The Law says, “Pay what you owe”; grace says, “I freely forgive you all!”

The Law says, “The wages of sin is death”; grace declares, “The gift of God is eternal life!”

The Law reveals sin, grace atones for it!

The Law demands obedience; grace bestows the power to obey!

The Law brings distances man from God; grace reconciles man to God!

The Law promises life to the perfect; grace offers life to sinners!

Mt. Sinai produced the Law; Mt. Calvary produced saving grace!

The Law was given to reveal our sins; grace is offered to pay for our sins!

John Bunyan wrote:
“Run, John, run, the law commands, but gives me neither feet nor hands;
far grander news the Gospel brings; it bids me fly and gives me wings!”

Have you experienced God’s gift of amazing grace?
If not, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today!
