TO REPENT IS TO CHANGE ONE'S MIND!

REPENTANCE BEFORE ISRAEL EXISTED!

Job 42:1, 5-6Then Job answered the LORD, and said, - - - I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear:  but now (my eyes have seen) Thee.  Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.  [Note:  Job did not see God the Father; he saw Jehovah - Jn. 1:18; 1 Jn. 4:12.]

REPENTANCE FOR ISRAEL!

Ezekiel 14:6Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

Ezekiel 18:30Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord GOD.  Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Matthew 3:2 - (John was preaching), Repent ye:  for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:17 - From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent:  for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mark 1:1, 4, 14-15 - The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; - - - John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. - - - Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:  repent ye, and believe the Gospel.

Luke 13:3I (Jesus) tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Luke 15:10Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.

REPENTANCE DURING THE CHURCH AGE!

Luke 24:47 - And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 3:19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts 11:18 - When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then has God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Acts 20:21 - (The Apostle Paul) Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Gentiles, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 7:10For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of:  but the sorrow of the world works death.

TO REPENT MEANS TO HAVE A CHANGE OF MIND:
A CHANGE OF MIND ABOUT SIN;
A CHANGE OF MIND ABOUT GOD;
A CHANGE OF MIND ABOUT OBEYING GOD!
