SOME OF THE WORK OF THE SPIRIT
Matthew 10:19-20 - But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak. For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father Who speaks in (ἐν - en - through) you.
Matthew 12:28 - But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
John 3:5-6 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 14:16-17 - And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of Truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you.
John 15:26 - But when the Comforter is come, Whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, Who proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me.
John 16:13 - Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come.
Acts 2:4-6 - And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. . . . every man heard them speak in his own language.
Acts 5:3-4 - But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, was it not thine own? And after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? Why have you conceived this thing in thine heart? You have not lied unto men, but unto God.
Acts 8:29, 39 - Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. - - - And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 16:6-7 - Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia, after they were come to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit allowed them not.
Romans 8:6, 14-16, 26 - But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. - - - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself bearing witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. - - - Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 - Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 - Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God Who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit all.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 - Now He Who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, is God; Who has also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
2 Corinthians 5:5-8 - Now He that has wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, Who also has given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord . . .We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Galatians 4:6 - And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Ephesians 1:12-13 - That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom you also trusted, after that you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of Promise.
Ephesians 4:30 - And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption.
1 Thessalonians 4:7-8 - For God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. He therefore that despises, despises not man, but God, Who has also given unto us His Holy Spirit.
1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
1 Peter 3:18-23 - Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, Who lives and abides forever.
