BEWARE OF THE TINY WORD * IF *!

* IF *

John 8:24, 58 - I (Jesus) said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins:  for * IF * you do not believe not that I AM he, you shall die in your sins. . . . Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.  [Note:  he is not in the original Greek texts!]

Romans 10:9-13 - * IF * you shall confess with your mouth (that you have faith in) the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness (and is declared by God to be righteous - see Rom. 4:3; Gal. 3:6; Jam. 2:23); and with the mouth (your) confession (of faith in Him) is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes in Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek (Gentile; non-Jew):  for the same Lord (Who is) over all is rich (in mercy and grace) unto all that call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1Thessalonians 4:13-18But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have died, that you do not sorrow, even as others who have no hope.  For * IF * we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those also who have died (believing) in Jesus will God bring with Him.  For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede; go before) those who have died.  For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 John 1:8-10 - * If * we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  * If * we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  * If * we say that we have not sinned, we make Him (call God) a liar, and His Word is not in us.

Revelation 3:20 (A Metaphor) - Behold, I (Jesus) stand at the door (of your heart), and knock:  * IF * any man hear My voice, and open the (his) door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

[Note:  All Scripture is based upon my understanding to the K.J.V.]
