WE ARE SAVED TO SERVE!

SALVATION IS NOT EARNED BY WORKS; IT IS A GIFT!

Ephesians 2:8-9For by grace (unmerited favor) are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5-7Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy (loving pardon) He saved us . . . . That being justified by His grace (unmerited favor), we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

BUT, WE HAVE BEEN SAVED TO SERVE HIM!

Matthew 7:21-23Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name?  And in Your name have (we not) cast out devils?  And in Your name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:  depart from Me, you who work iniquity.

Romans 12:1-2I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove (test; examine) what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Philippians 2:10-13 - . . . at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out (show forth) your own salvation with fear and trembling.  For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

1 Thessalonians 4:1, 4, 7 - Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk (behave) and to please God, so you would abound more and more . . . . That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel (body) in sanctification and honor . . . . For God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
