1) The Magi traveled a long distance to worship Jesus - "And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh" (2:11).
2) A leper came and worshipped Jesus - "And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean" (8:2).
3) Jairus, a Jewish ruler, worshipped Jesus - "While He spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay Thy hand upon her, and she shall live" (9:18).
4) Those in a ship during a storm worshipped Jesus - "Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped Him, saying, Of a truth Thou art the Son of God" (14:33).
5) A Canaanite woman came and worshipped Jesus - "Then came she and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, help me" (15:25).
6) The women at His tomb worshipped Jesus - "And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him (28:9).
7) After His resurrection, His disciples worshipped Jesus "And when they saw Him, they worshipped Him: but some doubted" (28:17).
Seven is the number of completeness. The number seven occurs 391 times in the Scriptures, and is most often related in some way to God Himself. So when Matthew presents his Gospel to a predominately Jewish audience, relaying seven occasions where Jesus accepted worship, is no accident. The number they connected to God Almighty, was the number they should relate to His Son, Jesus Christ!
When you think of Jesus, you should be worshipping the One who died for your sins!
