"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be" (Mt. 24:37-39).
"And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all" (Lk. 17:26-27).
"Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water" (1 Pet. 3:20).
What can we learn from the life of Noah?
1) He was, as are all saved men, unrighteous apart from the righteousness given us by God's grace (Gen. 6:8; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 2:8-9; etc.)!
2) Like Noah, the generation living at the time of Christ's return, will be totally wicked (Gen. 6:5; Mt. 24:37; Lk. 17:26; etc.)! Following the Rapture of the true Church (the Body of Christ - Jn. 14:1-3; 1 Cor. 12:27; 15:50-53; 1 Th. 4:16-17; etc.), and the seven-year Tribulation (Dan. 9:27; Jer. 30:7; Mt. 24:3-29; Rev. ch. 6-18; etc.), Jesus Christ will return to a world about which He asked in Luke 18:8, "I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" The answer is no; those having faith were removed at the Rapture!
3) God is patient, but there will come a time when He will judge mankind (1 Cor. 4:5; Eph. 1:10; 1 Tim. 6:15; 1 Pet. 1:20; 3:20; etc.)! Will you still be here?
WARNING: our world is at least as bad as it was in the days of Noah!
