"In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without
Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in
darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not" (Jn. 1:1-5).
"He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the
world knew Him not. He
came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them
gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His
name: which were born, not
of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" (Jn. 1:10-14).
"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of
man be lifted up: That
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the
world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world
to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
He that believeth on Him
is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he
hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (Jn. 3:14-18).
"Then delivered he Him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus,
and led Him away.
And He bearing His cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: where they crucified Him, and two other with Him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin" (Jn. 19:16-20).

"And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because
thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen,
and yet have believed.
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are
not written in this Book:
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son
of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name" (Jn. 20:28-31).
Having just read these excerpts from John's Gospel, do you believe them?
