THE POPE DURING THE TRIBULATION?

St. Malachy's prophecy concerning the 112th Pope, whether being written by him, or added later in the 1800's, reads as follows:  "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church (believe it or not, this will be done via the wrath of God), there will sit Peter the Roman (see yesterday's blog), who will pasture his sheep (not God's, but his) in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people.  The End."

Here is what the Word of God says about the two churches at the time just before the Tribulation.  One is faithful, and will be removed prior to the Lord pouring out His wrath upon the world (1 Thes. 1:10; 5:9; Rev. 3:7, 10; etc.).  The other is described as "lukewarm" (apathetic), and will be chastened by God (Jn. 3:36; Rom. 2:5; Rev. 3:14, 19; etc.).

And here is a description of the Church of Laodicea; see if it resembles, in any way, the Roman Catholic Church today.  "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.   So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.   Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:  I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me" (Rev. 3:15-20).

Today, the vast majority of Roman Catholics do not attend Mass (apathetic).  The Roman Catholic Church is the single, richest entity on earth, when in fact, it needs genuine "gold" (1 Cor. 3:12).  It offers a works based religion, teaching a false Gospel; the true Gospel is that by faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection, a person is born again by the grace of God (Jn. 3:3-8; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 10: 8-17; etc.).  With its focus upon works and upon Mary, Jesus' finished work of saving the lost is neglected at best, and ignored at the worst.  Hence, He is described as standing outside the Church, knocking to be let in!

Only one church will enter into the Tribulation:
the one whose members are trying to work their way to heaven!
