REVELATION ONE, ONE THROUGH SIX

[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God (The Father) gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He (Jesus Christ) sent and signified it by His angel (the name of this angel is not given so it is not necessary for us to know it) unto His servant John (according to the early church fathers, this is the Apostle John):

[2] Who bore record of the Word of God (John's Gospel focuses upon Jesus as the Word), and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
[3] Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein (this is the only Scripture which promises a blessing to those who read it and/or hear it, and believe it): for the time is at hand (the past has already occurred, the present continues to occur, and there is nothing which must take place in God's plan for the future things listed in Revelation to begin taking place - they are imminent.  This is made clearer by taking note of the book's key verse - v.1:19).

[4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia (the message begins with seven letters to seven churches in modern-day Turkey; they are recorded in chapters two and three): Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come (The Father); and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne (it is widely believed that this refers to the Holy Spirit, as He is described in Isa. 11:2 which reads:  "And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Might, the Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear of the LORD.");
[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead (Jesus was the "first-fruits from the grave" according to Mt. 27:51-53 and 1 Cor. 15:20-23), and the Prince of the kings of the earth (Jesus came as the "Prince of Peace" at His First Coming, according to Isa. 9:6, but at His Second Coming, He will be the King of kings and the Lord of lords as shown in Rev. 19:16). Unto Him (Jesus) that loved us (Rom. 8:35; Eph. 3:19; Rev. 3:9), and washed us from our sins in His own blood (Eph. 2:13; Heb. 9:12; 10:19; 1 Jn. 1:7; Rev. 7:14; 12:11),
[6] And hath made us kings and priests (Mt. 19:28; 1 Pet. 2:5, 9; Rev. 5:10; 20:6) unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
The Triune God has proven His love for us!
Our obedience reveals our gratitude to Him!
