WORDS OF COMFORT IN A WORLD OF CHAOS:
THE PROMISE OF THE RAPTURE!
1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-5:11 ACCORDING TO MY UNDERSTANDING.
[15] For this is the Word of God, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede those believers who had already died.
[16] For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
[17] Then we who are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and we shall be with our Lord forever.
[18] Therefore, comfort one another with these words.
*******
[1] But of the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write unto you.
[2] For you know perfectly well that the day of the Lord's wrath is coming when men least expect Him; and His coming shall be as a thief in the night.
[3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction shall come upon them, just as the first contraction comes upon a woman who is pregnant with her child; and once the birth process is started, there is no escaping what lies ahead.
[4] But you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, are not unaware of what the Lord has in store for those who do not believe God's Word.
[5] For you are all the children of light, and the children of the day: you are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[6] Therefore we do not sleep, as do others; but we watch for Christ's coming for us..
[7] For those who love darkness and reject God's light, are as those who sleep not knowing what God has in store for them.
[8] So let us, who are of the light, be serious in preparing for Christ's coming for His church, by putting on God's spiritual armor; the "breastplate of faith and love," and for a "helmet," the assurance of our salvation..
[9] For God has not appointed us to suffer His wrath, but has appointed us to be caught up to be with our Lord Jesus Christ,
[10] Who died for us, that, whether we are alive or have died at His coming for us, we shall live together with him forever.
[11] Wherefore, continue to comfort one another, and to strengthen one another.
[Note: For a more comprehensive study of the Rapture of the Church, read John 14:1-6;
1 Corinthians 15:50-54; and Revelation 4:1, where the Apostle John is pictured as being caught up into heaven. Revelation describes the Church in the world of John's day in Ch. 1:19 (the things that are), and in Ch. 2 and 3. What follows the removal of the Church in Ch. 4:1, is the day of the Lord's wrath (Ch. 6 - 18). Note that the Church is not mention in Bible Prophecy after Ch. 3!]
THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN CHRIST'S DEATH FOR THEIR SINS, AND HIS RESURRECTION THREE DAYS LATER ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES,
OUGHT TO LONG FOR HIS RETURN!
THOSE WHO HAVE REJECTED JESUS CHRIST AND THE FREE GIFT
OF SALVATION OFFERED TO THOSE WHO WILL PUT THEIR TRUST IN HIM,
SHOULD KNOW THAT HIS RETURN AS KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, WILL RESULT IN THEIR FACING HIS JUDGMENT, AND HIS SENTENCING
OF THEM TO ETERNITY IF THE HORRIBLE LAKE OF FIRE!
