THE LIGHT OF UNDERSTANDING!
[MY INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THE WORD IS TEACHING]
Matthew 13:10-12 - And the disciples came, and said unto Jesus, Why do you speak unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever has faith, to him shall more light be given: but whosoever has no faith, even the light he has been given shall be taken away.
Matthew 5:14-16 - You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hidden. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.
Luke 1:76-79 - And you, child (John the baptizer), shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare His way; to give knowledge of salvation unto His people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the Dayspring from on high has visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Luke 2:28-32 - Then Simeon took Jesus up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now let Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word: for my eyes have seen Thy salvation,
Whom You have prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.
John 1:7-9 - The same (John the baptizer) came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light Who lights every man who comes into the world.
John 9:5 - Jesus said, As long as I AM in the world, I AM the Light of the world.
JUDGMENT WILL BE BASED UPON
THE AMOUNT OF LIGHT REJECTED!
Matthew 10:5-6; 14-15 - These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, nor into any city of the Samaritans: but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. - - - And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Matthew 11:20-24 - Then Jesus began to rebuke the cities wherein most of His mighty works were done, because they refused to repent: Woe unto you, Chorazin! Woe unto you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. And you, Capernaum, which is exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.
IF YOU, LIKE ABRAHAM, BELIEVE WHAT GOD HAS REVEALED TO YOU,
YOU WILL ALSO BE DECLARED RIGHTEOUS BY GOD
(ROMANS 4:3; GALATIANS 3:6 AND JAMES 2:23)!
BUT BEWARE!
SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS,
THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD,
YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL
WHICH HAS THE POWER OF GOD TO SAVE SOULS
(ROMANS 1:16-17 AND 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-6)!
YOU ARE NOW RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCEPTING OR REJECTING JESUS!
CALL UPON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND DECLARE YOUR FAITH IN HIM TODAY, AND YOUR SOUL WILL BE SAVED FOREVER (ROMANS 10:8-13)!
