THE ONE THING NECESSARY TO GO TO HEAVEN!

RIGHTEOUSNESS - AN ATTRIBUTE OF GOD!

Psalm 145:17 (King James) - The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.
Psalm 145:17 (Masoretic Text) - צַדִּיק יְהוָה בְּכָל־דְּרָכָיו וְחָסִיד בְּכָל־מַעֲשָֽׂיו׃

צַדִּיק tsaddiyq - righteous (162 times); just (42 times).
חָסִיד châçîyd - Holy One (Ps. 16:10).

RIGHTEOUSNESS - NOT AN ATTRIBUTE OF MANKIND!

Isaiah 64:6 - But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags....

Romans 3:10, 23 - As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one - - - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

Romans 10:1-3 - Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.  For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

RIGHTEOUSNESS:  HOW DOES ONE OBTAIN IT?

Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Romans 4:3 - For what saith the scripture?  Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.  [See also Galatians 3:6 and James 2:23]

Philippians 3:9 - And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through the faith in Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A FREE GIFT FROM GOD!

Romans 5:18 - Therefore as by the offence of one (Adam) judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One (Jesus Christ) the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For He (The Father) hath made Him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Hebrews 11:7 - By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Revelation 19:8 - And to her was granted (given) that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:  for the fine linen is the righteousness of (God given to the) saints.  

ALL WHO PLACE THEIR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, 

HAVE RECEIVED THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, 

AND THEY WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN HEAVEN!
