MAN'S ATTEMPT TO COVER HIS NAKEDNESS!

Genesis 3:7 - And the eyes of them both (Adam and Eve) were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.*

* The Hebrew word is chagowr, meaning "loin-cloths" or "girdles" (see 1 Kings 2:5).

GOD'S COVERING OF MAN'S NAKEDNESS!

Genesis 3:21 - Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats* of skins, and clothed them.

* The Hebrew word is kethoneth, meaning "robes" (see Exodus 28:4).  It is noteworthy that in order for God to provide coverings for Adam and Eve, animals were sacrificed.

THE SIN OF PRIDE (SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS)!

Mark 12:38-39 - And He said unto them in His doctrine, Beware of the scribes, who love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts....

Luke 20:46 - Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts....

Romans 10:3 - For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

GOD GIVES THE HUMBLE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness....

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For He has made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Revelation 6:9-11 - And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held:  and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, Holy and True, do You not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

RELIGIOUS WORKS CANNOT SAVE THE LOST!

SALVATION IS A GIFT FROM GOD TO BELIEVERS!

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace (unmerited, undeserved favor) are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy (undeserved pardon) He saved us....

JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS, HE WAS BURIED,

AND HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY,

ALL ACCORDING TO THE PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES:

BELIEVE AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED!
