GOD'S MERCY PROVIDED US WITH THE SAVIOR!
[Mercy: Not receiving what is deserved]
John 3:14-18 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up (crucified*): that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believes in Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.
*Note: John 12:32-33 - And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me. This He said, signifying what death He should die.
2 Corinthians 5:21 - For He (the Father) has made Him (the Son) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
GOD'S GRACE PROVIDES US WITH A FAMILY!
[Grace: Receiving that which we do not deserve]
Romans 8:14-17 - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons (children) of God. For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ....
Ephesians 1:3-7, 11-14 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He has made us accepted in the Beloved. In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace . . . . In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him Who works all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom you also trusted, after you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Who is the earnest (guarantee; down payment) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
GOD'S MERCY PARDONED OUR SINS!
GOD'S GRACE MADE US HIS CHILDREN!
IF
WE HAVE BELIEVED IN THE LORD JESUS!
