SEVEN THINGS WE KNOW, AND SEVEN THINGS WE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT JESUS!

SEVEN THINGS WE KNOW ABOUT JESUS!

1.  Jesus is the Creator of the Universe:  Genesis 1:1 with John 1:1-3, 14; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; etc.

2.  Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God:  Mark 1:1; John 1:34; 3:16-18; 9:35-38; 10:36; 20:31; etc.

3.  Jesus is rightfully our Lord and Master:  Matthew 23:8, 10; John 13:13-14; Acts 16:31; etc.

4.  Jesus died for the sins of mankind:  John 1:29; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 1 John 2:2; etc.

5.  Jesus, Himself, was sinless:  Daniel 9:26; John 8:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; etc.

6.  Jesus rose from the dead:  Matthew 28:6; Mark 16:6; Luke 24:6; John 21:14; etc.

7.  Jesus rose early on the first day of the week:  Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1; etc.

SEVEN THINGS WE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT JESUS!

1.  The day, month, and year Jesus was born:  We believe He was born about a year before Herod the Great died in 4 B.C. - Matthew Ch. 2.

2.  Facts about His life from age 12 to age 30:  Luke Ch. 2; Luke Ch. 3.

3.  His age and the year He was crucified:  We know He began His ministry when He was about thirty, but we really do not know for sure how many years He preached before being Crucified.

4.  We do not know how an eternal God could become the child of a human mother.  We know He chose to become a man, a servant, one "lower than the angels (Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 2:6-9).

5.  We do not know the year Jesus was crucified, although we do know the day of the year.  Jesus, as the Lamb of God (John 1:29), died on the fourteenth of Nisan, Passover (1 Corinthians 5:7).

6.  We do not know the day or the hour of His return (Matthew 24:36; 25:13; Mark 13:32).

7. We do not know what He has in store for us in heaven (Isaiah 64:4; 1 Corinthians 2:9).

WE DO KNOW HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN!

Rom. 10:9-17 (As I understand it!)

If you willingly confess your faith in the Lord Jesus, and you believe with your whole heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes and it is accounted unto him for righteousness (His righteousness, not your own - 2 Cor. 5:21); and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes in Jesus shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the saved Jew and the saved Gentile: for the Lord is rich (in love, mercy, and grace) unto all who call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call in Him in Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear unless believers share their faith? - - - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Gospel, the very Word of God.

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!
