HE IS MORE THAN SAVIOR; HE IS GOD!

I am so sick of people saying that when they were younger, they accepted Jesus as their Savior, but later in life, they surrendered to Him as their Lord.  They think they were saved by believing the Gospel, but that it wasn't until years later that they came to know Jesus as their Lord.  Bunk!  Salvation takes place when one calls upon the name of the LORD (Rom. 10:9-13)!

First of all, allow me to point out that Satan and his demons saw Jesus die; they saw Him buried; and they saw Him risen from the dead!  They recognized Him even before His death, burial, and resurrection (Mt. 4:3, 6; 8:29; 26:63; Mk. 3:11; Lk. 4:41; 8:28; etc.)!  They knew He was the Son of God!  They addressed Him as the "Son of God!"  Were they saved?  Of course not!

The four Gospels present Jesus "Lord" over 200 times; as "Master" over 60 times, as "Christ" nearly 60 times!  Do you know how many times the four Gospels call Jesus "Saviour?"  THREE (Lk. 1:47; 2:11; Jn. 4:42)!  So if your preacher, or Sunday school teacher, or whomever, told you that by believing Jesus died, was buried, and rose again, you become a born again child of God, then I would suggest you give it some more thought!

My question to you is, when did you realize you were a sinner, that you needed to turn from your sins, and begin obeying Jesus?  After all, if He is LORD, MASTER, CHRIST, then your relationship with Him should be one of submission to Him as your LORD!  That doesn't convince you?  You need more?  Well how about the fact that Jesus is God?!  When Thomas said, "My Lord and my God!"; what was Jesus' reaction?  He replied:  "Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed" (Jn. 20:29)!

How about the fact that He is addressed as "the Son of God" over 40 times?!

How about the fact that He is the Creator?!  Jesus created the entire universe (Jn. 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:16-17; Heb. 1:1-2; etc.)!

You want to be saved?  Jesus, who saves, is LORD!
