Moses, Matthew, and Paul, had this to say about believing the testimony of others:
"One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established" (Deut. 19:15). "But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established" (Mt. 18:16). "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established" (2 Cor. 13:1).
John the Baptist: "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (Jn. 1:29)!
Nathaniel: "Nathanael answered and saith unto Him, Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God; Thou art the King of Israel" (Jn. 1:49)!
A Samaritan woman: "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? (Jn. 4:29)!
Many Samaritans: "And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard Him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world" (Jn. 4:42)!
A man born blind: "Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him" (Jn. 9:35-38).
Jesus Himself: "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die..." (Jn. 11:25-26)!
Martha: "She saith unto Him, Yea, Lord: I believe that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world" (Jn, 11:27)!
Thomas: "Then saith He to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God" (Jn. 20:27-28)!
The author of the Gospel of John: "And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe" (Jn. 19:35). "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name" (Jn. 20:30-31)!
That is a mere sampling of the witnesses to the identity of Jesus Christ!
I believe! Can I add you to this list?
