FROM DENIAL, TO DISBELIEF, TO PROCLAIMING HIM LORD

JESUS FORETOLD HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION

Matthew 12:39-40 - "...An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:  for as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."
Matthew 16:21 - "From that time forth began Jesus to show unto His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day."
John 10:17-18 - "Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again.  No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father."
John 12:30-33 - "Jesus answered and said....if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me.  This He said, signifying what death He should die."

JESUS ABANDONED AND DENIED
Matthew 26:56 - "....Then all the disciples forsook Him, and fled."
Mark 14:50 - "And they all forsook Him, and fled."
John 18:17, 25-27 - "Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples?  He saith, I am not....And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself.  They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples?  He denied it, and said, I am not.  One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew."

HIS DISCIPLES DID NOT BELIEVE HE ROSE AGAIN
Mark 16:9-11 - "Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.  And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.  And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not."
Luke 24:10-11 - "It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.  And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not."

HAVING SEEN JESUS, AND NOW SPIRIT FILLED
Acts 2:14, 22-24 - "But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words....Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it."

Atheists deny Him - Agnostics doubt Him - Believers proclaim Him!
