ONLY OVERCOMERS WILL GO TO HEAVEN!

FAITH:  OVERCOMING DOUBT; THE KEY TO ETERNAL LIFE!

1 John 5:1-13 (as I understand God's Word)   

[1] Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God (the new birth - See Jn. 3:3-8; 1 Pet. 1:23):  and every one that loves Him that begot (God the Father - See Jn. 3:16-18) loves Him also Who is begotten of Him (God the Son - See Jn. 1:1, 14).
[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments (Love God and love others as you love yourself - See Gal. 5:14).
[3] For this is (how we show) the love of God, that we keep His commandments:  and His commandments are not grievous (not too heavy to bear).
[4] For whosoever is born of God overcomes the world (has victory over the world system): and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith (it is not works; it is not self-discipline:  it is accomplished by trusting in the finished work of Jesus on our behalf - See 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Eph. 2:8-9).
[5] Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
[6] This is He Who came by water (Who had a physical birth - See Mt. 1:18 - 2:1; Jn. 3:5-6) and blood (Who had a physical death - See Lev. 17:11; Rom. 3:25; Eph. 1:7; etc.), even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit Who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.
[7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus, the Son), and the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit): and these three are One (The Holy Trinity).
[8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood:  and these three agree in one.
[9] If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:  for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son.
[10] He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself (See vs. 7-8; Jn. 14:17): he that does not believe, God has made him (declared him to be) a liar; because he does not believe the record that God gave of His Son.
[11] And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
[12] He that has (faith in) the Son has (eternal) life; and he that has not (does not have faith in) the Son of God has not (does not have eternal) life.
[13] These things have I written unto you who believe on the name of the Son of God;  that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may (continue to) believe on the name of the Son of God.

HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO OVERCOME DOUBT?

Revelation 21:7-8 (as I understand God's Word)

[7] He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.
[8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore-mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.

BELIEVE IN THE JESUS OF THE BIBLE TODAY!
