FAITH IN JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE FORGIVEN!
Romans 3:19-31 (According to my understanding)
What the Law says is for those who are under the Law. It stops anyone from making excuses. And it brings the whole world under God's judgment, because no one can be made right with God by following the Law. The Law only shows us our sin. But God has a way to make people right, and it has nothing to do with the Law. He has now shown us the true way, which the Law and the Prophets hinted at. That God makes people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. He does this for all who believe in Christ. Everyone is the same. All have sinned and are not good enough to share God's likeness. We must be made right with God by His grace (a gift; unmerited favor; unearned; undeserved). This is a free gift. We are made right with God by being made free from sin through Jesus Christ. God gave Jesus as a way to forgive people's sins through their faith in Him. God can forgive us because the blood sacrifice of Jesus pays for our sins. God gave Jesus to show that He always does what is right and just. He was right in the past and did not punish people for their sins. And in our own time, He remains just. God worked all this out in a way that allows Him to judge people fairly and still make right any person who has faith in Jesus. So do we have any reason to boast about ourselves? No reason at all. And why not? Because we are depending on the way of faith, and not on what we have done in following the Law. I mean we are made right with God through faith, not through what we have done to follow the Law. This is what we believe. God is not only the God of the Jews. He is also the God of those who are not Jews. There is only one God, and He will make Jews right with Him by their faith, and He will also make non-Jews right with Him through their faith. So do we destroy the Law by following the way of faith? Not at all! In fact, the Law guides us in understanding the will of the Lord for His children.
THE LAW TEACHES US THE MEANING OF LOVE!
Galatians 5:13-14 (According to my understanding)
Brethren, you have been freed from the Law of Moses, and now live in God's gift of liberty; only do not use your liberty to justify living to satisfy yourselves, but by love focus on serving one another. For ALL of the Law is fulfilled in one statement, even in this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
THE LAW SHOWS US OUR NEED FOR A SAVIOR!
Galatians 3:21-26 (According to my understanding)
Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a Law which could have given life, then our right-standing with God would have been according to that Law! But the Scripture has shown that all of us sin, and that the promise of salvation occurs when we place our faith in Jesus Christ! But before we believed, we were under the judgment of the Law, ignorant of the faith which would later be revealed to us. Therefore, the Law was like a school teacher, showing our need of our Savior, Jesus Christ. What we learned is that we can become God's child by faith in Him! But after we believed the Gospel and came to faith in Christ, we are no longer needed a school teacher! Now we are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus, our Lord and our Savior!
WE ALL SIN!
WE ALL NEED A SAVIOR!
JESUS OFFERED HIMSELF TO BE OUR SAVIOR!
PUT YOUR TRUST IN HIM TODAY,
WHILE YOU STILL CAN!
