TRUST IN THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS!
John 19:28-30 - After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to His mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost.
Romans 15:12 - And again, Esaias (Isaiah) said, There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust.
Ephesians 1:12-13 - That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom you also trusted, after that you heard the Word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation (the soul-saving Gospel - 1 Corinthians 15:1-4): in Whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. . . .
Hebrews 2:13-14 - And again, I will put my trust in Him (Jesus). And again, Behold I and the children which God has given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. . . .
OBEY JESUS, THE RESURRECTED LORD OF LORDS!
Acts 5:29-32 - Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, Whom you slew and hanged on a tree (crucified). Him has God exalted with His right hand to be Prince (Jesus is the Prince awaiting His coronation as the King of kings - see 1 Timothy 6:15) and Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, Whom God has given to those who obey Him.
Romans 6:16-18 - Do you not know, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness (of God, the Righteous One).
Romans 13:8-11 - Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the Law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended (easily understood) in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
TRUSTING IN JESUS RESULTS IN SALVATION!
OBEYING HIM AS YOUR LORD RESULTS IN TRUE JOY!
"TRUST AND OBEY, FOR THERE'S NO OTHER WAY,
TO BE HAPPY IN JESUS, BUT TO TRUST AND OBEY!"
