UNSAVED MAN IS SPIRITUALLY DEAD!
John 3:3-7 - Jesus answered and said unto him (Nicodemus), Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (physical birth) and of the Spirit (spiritual birth), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Romans 3:23; 6:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (short of God's standard of perfection) - - - For the wages of sin (the consequences of sin) is death....
THE TRUE BELIEVER IS SPIRITUALLY ALIVE!
Ephesians 2:1 - And you has He quickened (made to live spiritually), who were dead in trespasses and sins....
1 Thessalonians 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
THE TRUE BELIEVER NEED NOT FEAR DEATH!
Psalm 116:15 - Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.
John 11:25-26 - Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead (physically), yet shall he live: and whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die (spiritually)....
1 Corinthians 15:50-55 - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep (die physically), but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Romans 8:35-39 - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, Who is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:8 - We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Hebrews 2:12-15 - Saying, I will declare Thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto Thee. And again, I will put my trust in Him. And again, Behold I and the children which God has given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He (Jesus) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
FOR THE TRUE BELIEVER, THE HORROR OF DYING,
IS NOTHING COMPARED TO AN ETERNITY WITH GOD!
