I. THOSE WHO TRUST IN RELIGIOUS WORKS TO BE SAVED!
Matthew 7:22-23 - Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? And in Your name have (we not) cast out devils? And in Your name (have we not) done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you who work iniquity.
Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the Law: for by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us....
II. THOSE WHO TRUST IN RELIGIOUS WORKS TO STAY SAVED!
Galatians 3:1-3 - O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received you the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish, having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?
Philippians 1:3-6 - I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, for your fellowship in the Gospel from the first day until now; being confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:13 - For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
III. THOSE WHO TRUST IN JESUS FOR ETERNAL SALVATION!
John 3:14-17 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up (crucified): that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
Ephesians 1:12-14 - That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom you also trusted, after that you heard the Word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Who is the earnest (guarantee) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.
Ephesians 4:29-30 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, by Whom you are sealed unto the day of redemption.
1 John 3:1-2 - Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons (children) of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we the sons (children) of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
NO ONE IS SAVED BY BEING RELIGIOUS!
NO ONE REMAINS SAVED BY BEING RELIGIOUS!
ALL WHO ARE TRUSTING IN JESUS AS
THEIR LORD AND SAVIOR, ARE SAVED!
