* Revelation 1:8 - "I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."
* Revelation 1:10-11 - "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I AM Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last: and, What thou seest, write in a book...."
* Revelation 21:6 - "And He said unto me, It is done. I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."
* Revelation 22:13 - "I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."
Do you think of the times when Jesus was identified as the "I AM?" [See: Mt. 16:13-17 "The Christ, The Son of the living God"; Mt. 27:43 "The Son of God"; Mk. 14:61-62 "The Christ, The Son of the Blessed"; Lk. 22:70 "The Son of God"; Jn. 6:48 "The Bread of life"; Jn. 8:12 "The Light of the world"; Jn. 8:58 "Before Abraham was, I AM"; Jn. 10:9 "The Door"; Jn. 10:11 "The Good Shepherd"; Jn. 10:36 "The Son of God"; Jn. 11:25 "The Resurrection and The Life"; Jn. 13:13 "Master and Lord"; Jn. 14:6 "The Way, The Truth, and The Life"; Jn. 15:1 "The True Vine"; and Jn. 19:21 "The King of the Jews"]!
When you read the words "Alpha," "Beginning," and "First," do you recognize Jesus as the Creator of the Universe? [See: Ps. 33:6; Jn. 1:1-3, 10; Eph. 3:9; Col. 2:16-17; Heb. 1:1-2; Rev. 4:11]! And when you read the words "Omega," "Ending," and "Last," do you connect them with His statements, "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost" (Jn. 19:30); or, "And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely" (Rev. 21:6)?
Yes, Jesus is not only "the goal" for the creation of mankind: "And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness....So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them" (Gen. 1:26) [Note: the final goal is for us to be in His image AND His likeness - man was created in His image, but will not be made in His likeness until we have seen Christ face-to-face: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is" (1 Jn. 3:2)!
It is Jesus Who created us, and Jesus Who will complete us!
